SHEET PAN MEALS - Duchess - 09-22-2024 I've been seeing that term around so I googled it and the very first thing that came up are recipes--"Baked on a single sheet pan these all-in-one dinners make weeknight cooking a breeze." Is that true? Have you done this? RE: SHEET PAN MEALS - MirahM - 09-22-2024 No. I mean I've roasted veggies, but never included rice or meat along with it. RE: SHEET PAN MEALS - Carsman - 09-22-2024 Yeah we cook a complete meal in a sheet metal pan. Sausage (skin removed) cut in bite size pieces, peeled potatoes cut in bite size pieces, whole large onion thinly sliced, roasted red peppers, all baked in oven for 50 to 55 minutes. Only having to Stir everything around once after 30 minutes. It's delish! RE: SHEET PAN MEALS - Duchess - 09-23-2024 I love that there isn't a bunch of steps to do. I can put it in the oven, set the timer and walk away. That's my kind of cooking. I do the same with various meats and veggies (chicken, turkey kielbasa, potatoes, carrots, onion slices, bell pepper chunks, rutabaga bits…whatever I feel like). Oftentimes there’s not enough room on one pan to accommodate everything so I split them up. And u have to be aware of cutting things in similar sizes or add stuff later if it will cook more quickly than the rest. I top some of it with the balsamic glazes (jarred) out there now and some Parmesan. Easy!! |
