Police officer directing traffic. . . . - Carsman - 10-13-2010

So anyway, yesterday I drove passed a road repair crew, and directing traffic there was a town police officer that oddly enough had a long long beard that would have made the ZZ Top guys jealous!!!

I always thought that police officers were not allowed to wear long long beards. As they might get in the way. This is the first one I've ever seen here.

So do Police officers wear long long beards where you live?

so seriously Cars...was it a Halloween gag?
is he usually an U/C officer (who can look as they wish). although he wouldn't be directing traffic normally. small town, small dept.?

i wasn't even allowed to have my long hair in a ponytail, too likely someone would grab it. i would think same applies to a long beard!

I don't recall ever seeing a LEO with facial hair at all...in any state I've ever been in.

Not that I would have reason to be encountering those people. Smiley_emoticons_fies

He was in our town's regular police uniform, "gun" & all!! They use the LEO's here to direct traffic, seems they could be put to better use.
