Things I've learned to be grateful for. - Fibonacci Prima - 03-13-2011

Home made bread
Jeeps
The original star wars movies and all the cheese they represent
Sleep deprivation
Bitchy geese who balk at the cheerios me and kidlet offered them
Rain while trying to grill
Mud
Saying my favorite flowers are carnations and meaning it
Saying my favorite flowers are those little white flowers that grow like weeds when kidlet brings Every. Single. One.
Good coffee
Better coffee
Bad coffee when needed badly enough
Electricity and water (Ike survivor)
Spring and fall (see above)
The fact that my annoying kids will wake up tomorrow and find new ways to annoy me...especially since they are on spring break.

My little sweetheart, of whom I spoke Friday, has earned her wings.

My little rugrat son wrote this about me a couple of years ago:

Mommy

Magical
Organized
Middle-aged wonder (WTF???)
Mighty
You are the best mom in the galaxy.

Goddamn FB. I don't know how you do your job (but I'm glad there are people out there like you). Shit.

This is where you guys bring the lulz, dammit.

And don't give me that "I never watched star wars and dont know what a whiny fag skywalker was" bullshit. You played with those action figures in the bathtub just like I did.

Aww...that's the best poem ever! Kids really can just melt us, can't they...

So um...are you magical? Smiley_emoticons_wink

(times like this it isn't easy, so I do shit like this to ground myself and not get too out there...)

I count my blessings everyday & take nothing for granted. I KNOW that life can go from sugar to shit in an instant.

I'm grateful that much of my work can be handled from my home office.

I'm grateful that I have so many people in my life that genuinely care about me & my happiness/well being.

I'm grateful to LC for managing my beloved Mock for all of us. Smiley_emoticons_bussi

I'm grateful for California wines.

...and Chilean wines, and Australian wines, Ooh! And Argentinian wines...and Italian ones..

*sigh*

When we lived in Northern California we were lucky to live near Foppiano vinyards. Best estate cab I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. If you ever see a bottle, you must try it. Beautiful vinyards as well. Easily the prettiest in Sonoma.
