Typical one eyed limey response. Oh well, may God bless you in your sleep.

I can't make too much fun of the folks who kept their faith. We do Easter eggs and I usually take the little one to a sunrise service and cook Easter dinner. If the kid is going to be a heathen like me, it won't be my doing.

The athiest in the limey will be around shortly to lament the evils of religion. He may even get all pissed and his head may explode. Preaching athiesm like a cause for the masses the name calling will begin with his hatred for anyone that believes in God. He has all the answers safely tucked in his little shoe.

RE: ~Holy Week~ - Lady Cop - 04-17-2011

i like the stories i learned as a child, and honor them. as i said, for those who observe. no apologies and no preaching. just my childlike faith which has helped me through some times.
i wasn't trying to start an argument. that can be done here--->

Not only did I have that book, I had the coloring book as well. The story of baby Moses was my favorite. Religion wasn't a crushing bore when I was a child, as much as I feared the nuns I adored them & wanted to be one.

If people want to celebrate a hippy with super powers riding into a town on his ass that's fine by me.

I never preach Atheism.

RE: ~Holy Week~ - Maggot - 04-17-2011

I agree. I do not go to church or try and get everyone to join into some crazy organized brainwashing. I just like the lessons that have made me a better person, and given me comfort when I was alone.

RE: ~Holy Week~ - Lady Cop - 04-20-2011

cool~~i'm not Catholic, but the stories of the Saints intrigue me.

Two skeletons discovered in a crypt in an Italian cathedral are those of Christian saints who were martyred in ancient Rome, experts have claimed.

Scientists say all the evidence suggests the bones do belong to Chrysanthus and Daria, who were killed in 283AD for spreading Christianity.

Legend has it that the Roman empire had the celibate husband and wife killed after they converted Romans to the early religion.

The remains have been kept in the crypt of the cathedral in Reggio Emilia, a city in the north of Italy, since the 10th century.

RE: ~Holy Week~ - Midwest Spy - 04-22-2011

Those who actually believe that Jesus came to earth and died for our sins, so that we as believers may have eternal salvation, don't be afraid to proclaim it! Don't be embarrassed.

I'm not going to push my beliefs on any of you here. You're free to believe what you'd like. However, for those Christians in the crowd, today is actually the most important day of the year.

Sunday is a celebration that He is Risen, He is Risen indeed! Happy Easter to all!
