yup-I'm New - cannongal - 08-04-2011 Like annie (and I'm sure a few others), I'm came to this site via one of the comment sections on WMUR. (Celina Cass story). Lived in New Hampshire for over 25 years, love the State but hate the local news channel for their over-censorship of free speech, and their serious lack of investigative skills. Read the entire thread of Lady Cop's investigation of the Cass case and wanted to say-great job on putting all the info and links within one 'place' so to speak, and also, WMUR limewire does not let you comment unless you kiss the reporter's ass..(who ever is moderating the thing at any particular time). Would love to be a member here...throwing myself at your mercy:O Cannongal RE: yup-I'm New - Lady Cop - 08-04-2011 Hi, and since you have said you're a NH lover (i am also) i'm going to venture a guess that Cannon refers to one of my favorite Ski Mountains! COLD North face, but next to Wildcat, the best! whooohooo guy----> i also know from your post that you are sincere, and i've been giving new people here for the case the fast track. so i'm making you a member. and look forward to your comments. but a question first out of curiosity... WMUR wouldn't post my comments, so how did you and Annie happen find Mock? welcome RE: yup-I'm New - Duchess - 08-04-2011 WMUR has no business referring to themselves as a legitimate news organization when they choose to muzzle free speech, particularly comments that are respectful & insightful. RE: yup-I'm New - cannongal - 08-04-2011 Lady, Anyone with an email address can create a "ulocal" user account and comment on the individual stories. The 'U local' comment section is not the same as the Limewire comment section. A U local member posted a link to your thread on the comment section of http://www.wmur.com/news/28752487/detail.html . Unfortunately, the U-local comment section is moderated by an automatic bot program that will delete your comment if it gets 3 flags. (often it is just 1 person with a bunch of different accounts who will flag comments b/c they don't agree with you)-we call them 'trolls'. The same thing happens on NH Craigslist 'rants and raves' section. For some reason, a few people do not want to hear different points of view-they just want to flag, flag, flag. Me? I like having an intelligent (sometimes goofy) conversation with several sides. The more different points/aspects I can get, the better informed I am. RE: yup-I'm New - Lady Cop - 08-04-2011 you're a member, welcome to Mock. was i right about Cannon? you ski? here's a little NH thread in our travel area~ http://mockforums.net/thread-5911.html RE: yup-I'm New - cannongal - 08-04-2011 Although I do ski quite a bit in the winter-the 'Cannon' part of cannongal refers to one of my hobbies-Revolutionary War re-enacting. I'm usually the dork standing behind the cannon with a long iron pole, who lights the fuse. I'm also a competition shooter, mostly smooth bore. I live about 1⁄2 hour south of the White Mtns, but have only been to cannon Mtn in the summer and fall-I usually ski at the smaller mountains-where lift prices are cheaper. RE: yup-I'm New - Lady Cop - 08-04-2011 very interesting hobbies! RE: yup-I'm New - BlueTiki - 08-04-2011 (08-04-2011, 08:51 AM)cannongal Wrote: . . . one of my hobbies-Revolutionary War re-enacting. RE: yup-I'm New - cannongal - 08-04-2011 (08-04-2011, 09:20 AM)BlueTiki Wrote: British or Yankee? I belong to both a Brit and a Rebel unit-we often switch sides depending on the amount of re-enactors that show up to a particular event. Black powder is for ammo-not wigs Since my hair is long I do not need to where a wig when portraying a British Officer-I just dust it a bit to give a more greyish appearance. When playing a rebel the hair is just tied back, or tucked up in a mopcap when playing a nurse. Thanks for the info re: Black Powder and Whigs. I'm such a girl. Guns and bullets scare me. RE: yup-I'm New - IMaDick - 08-04-2011 where, wear, ware ,so many choices so little brains to work with.
