Good Morning Hot D - IMaDick - 02-18-2012 RE: Good Morning Hot D - Nickdaflameperson - 02-18-2012 Relaxing , my kind of music. RE: Good Morning Hot D - HairOfTheDog - 02-19-2012 Good morning Dick. I missed this thread yesterday. Nice way to start the morning. Here's a Sunday morning riddle that I was just working on to the kick brain into gear: You are on an island in the middle of a lake. The lake is in a remote part of the country and there has never been a bridge connecting the island to the mainland. Whenever weather permits, a tractor and wagon gives hay rides around the island. Puzzled as to how the tractor had gotten onto the island, you ask around and find out that the tractor was not transported to the island by boat or by air. Nor was it built on the island. Explain how the tractor got there? RE: Good Morning Hot D - IMaDick - 02-19-2012 It was there before the lake was filled. RE: Good Morning Hot D - HairOfTheDog - 02-19-2012 (02-19-2012, 12:27 PM)IMaDick Wrote: It was there before the lake was filled. Aha. You are quicker than I. Your answer isn't the one provided, but it works just as well as the riddle doesn't state that the lake is not man-made. The answer provided is "the tractor was driven over in the winter when the lake was frozen". Stupid riddle. Here's a cheezy one: A time when they're green, a time when they're brown, But both of these times, cause me to frown. But just in between, for a very short while, They're perfect and yellow, and cause me to smile! What am I talking about here? RE: Good Morning Hot D - IMaDick - 02-19-2012 Pears RE: Good Morning Hot D - IMaDick - 02-19-2012 (02-19-2012, 12:32 PM)HairOfTheDog Wrote:(02-19-2012, 12:27 PM)IMaDick Wrote: It was there before the lake was filled. Don't tell cynical that there can be more than one answer to a riddle or puzzle, the crazy fucker goes off like an old lady on crack. Btw: how hard is this James Taylor song to play on just a basic starter guitar? http://www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/james-taylor-carolina-in-my-mind-guitar-tab-s38865t0 RE: Good Morning Hot D - IMaDick - 02-19-2012 Finger style is tough. I was just watching some of his youtubes this morning. RE: Good Morning Hot D - Cracker - 02-19-2012 (02-19-2012, 12:39 PM)HairOfTheDog Wrote:(02-19-2012, 12:33 PM)IMaDick Wrote: Pears Bananas. He had it restrung and says he's been practicing. He started trying to play by ear, but he's more of an analytical type and having much better luck reading music. I promised him I would sing a song for a special occasion coming up in July if he learned something. The guest of honor likes James Taylor, Bread, acoustic Dylan, Neil Young.. I don't wanna sing (totally mediocre), but it's such a nice thought, I'll do it. Any recommendations for fairly easy song(s) to learn on guitar that also don't require strong vocals to pull off? I love Heart of Gold by Neil Young. Doable for a fast-learning beginner to master on guitar in several months? Here's another one you can probably get quickly. It took me a long time. A magician was boasting one day at how long he could hold his breath under water. His record was 6 minutes. A kid that was listening said, that's nothing, I can stay under water for 10 minutes using no types of equipment or air pockets!' The magician told the kid if he could do that, he'd give him $10,000. The kid did it and won the money. Can you figure out how? ALWAYS check your grammar and usage if you are calling someone else stupid. Any other time mistakes aren't as funny or ironic. Bosc pears are brown. RE: Good Morning Hot D - IMaDick - 02-19-2012 Hot D here is a really simple one to learn, three chords and a very nice tune when done with a basic acoustic guitar or a clean electric, very easy for a beginner guitarist. A minor, G and C chords are all that are used. There have been a few classics in the last couple of days. It amuses me when people in bed bad grammer in they're attempt to imply that someone else is insightless.
