HI AUSSIE! - Duchess - 04-28-2012

Hibye How's it hangin'?

RE: HI AUSSIE! - aussiefriend - 04-28-2012

Oh Hi Duch, last week I put this huge 3000 word essay in. Now I have another 2 assignments waiting to be done. You know when you look at a kitchen that is full of dishes and think where do I start? That's how I feel.

I have been flat out studying this week just gone, I don't come in here whilst I am doing it because I need to be focussed. I know it sounds boring, but that's my reality at the moment, I still have other stuff on top of all that. I am so over it. I would rather be working than doing this, but you really have no choice you have to do it.

I have given myself the day off today. It's freezing here.

So when do you get a break? Are you going to graduate soon?

RE: HI AUSSIE! - aussiefriend - 04-28-2012

I get a break as soon as my assignments are put in, I will go straight back to work. I am full time this semester. We are week 8 of a 16 week semester. Then next semester (last July starts), I will be full time again. I can graduate at the end of the year just as a qualified mental health nurse, or keep going on to finish the masters. I probably will exit once I am qualified but I really don't know which way I will go yet. Only also, if I get good marks, I am not a barely passing person, I put many hours into producing decent work. I hope I do ok. I am certainly trying. It's stressful having this workload on you. I find studying more stressful than work.

Addit:

Much of the research I have been doing, has been drawn from Journals in the US. It's amazing the research that is done in the medical field affects practice globally. Even yesterday, I was doing some online discussions, and the reading was regarding the psychological impact of the workforce after strict cutbacks and restructuring were enforced in a particular US state. It affected patient care.

Good for you 7/11! School sucks. I'm a bit proud of my wife, she gets her masters in the fall. Keep it up kid. Respect-applause

Thanks KS, that's so kind of you to say that. But usually when I am at the end of it, I am so over it, I have the attitude "give me that piece of paper", then I walk off in a huff, due to all the hassle they put me through to get it.

It does make life easier at the end of it, and surprise surprise, I am learning heaps too. Who knew?

I remember taking my last classes right befor graduating. I was working full time too. I was so glad to be done! For the first time in years I would have a summer off from school. I had a list of books I wanted to read for pleasure. So I hear ya Aussie. All the hard work is worth it but damn if it's not a relief when you are finally done!
