I realize I initially told you not to waste your time, but I changed my mind and think you should give it a go.

Olive oil in a big pot, stir is thin sliced onion then brown the beef, minced garlic cloves, add one can chopped and one can pureed tomatoes, cup of chicken or beef stock (bullion cube in hot water) generous paprika, pepper, Italian seasoning bring to a boil and simmer, cook some pasta seperately, elbow, macaroni, bow tie whatever the fuck you have or like, even mix big and small. Add the pasta to the sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes while you enjoy a glass of wine. The salt needs to be added according to what the tomatoes had in them, if none a tablespoon of american salt or a little less if real sea salt. Serve with some cheesy garlic bread...

One of my housemates made this over the summer, I was in heaven, tasted just like home. It was amazing. Comfort food.

We also used to eat this dish we called "Chicken Junk"
Its just chicken, rice w/ cream of mushroom soup
Later in life we progressed to the cream of mushroom soup w/ garlic

It is a lasagne recipe using sauce from a jar which according to the author one should not feel shame about. Also use an almost rotting tomato from your fridge and something about vodka sauce and don't add spinach.

Time is money, but space is a long, long time.

Nothing is more shameful than using jar sauce. Some wounds never heal, and this is one of them.

Bought what I thought was tuna in olive oil from Spain, turned out to be wonderful Mackerel filets in Sunflower oil. Tasty cold right out of the can...no bones...going to season and pan fry...

Are you the one who always cooks? That would be a dream come true for me.

I used to cook more back home but now Mrs. Biggie is retired so she cooks more often, I clean.

Gosh that looks good and I'm not even sure I would like mackerel.

It looks a lot better than the canned grilled mackerel I normally eat.

Using jar sauce . . . shameful?

Bullshit!

Refrigerator soup with Mackerel.

Here you go, would you like some lightly toasted sourdough?

Looks delicious and I know a good broth when I see one.

RE: what's for dinner? - BigMark - 09-23-2023

It was one of my better soups. Cooked it down for a few hours.
