DES and elective surgery - Ma Huang Sor - 07-07-2012

My anniversary on this procedure is July 17th. I have two in my left descending artery and they're the new DES mesh ones. I bruise like a hemophiliac from the Plavix and aspirin, but not in two weeks. What a wonderful invention

Mayo Clinic researchers have studied the largest group of patients to date to understand the risk of non-cardiac elective surgery for those who have cardiac stents. The two papers, along with an editorial, are in the current issue of Anesthesiology.

The research indicates that patients who have cardiac stents placed in arteries should wait before having elective surgery or procedures — at least 90 days for those who have a bare metal stent and 12 months for those who have a drug eluting stent. The delay decreases the risk of surgery-related death, heart attack and the need to reopen the clotted stent.

In the studies, nearly 900 patients who received a bare metal stent and more than 500 who received a drug eluting stent were examined between 1990 to 2005.

Chet Rihal, M.D., senior author of the studies and director of Mayo Clinic’s catheterization lab, discusses the studies and their importance for the hundreds of thousands of patients who have stents placed each year:

I have the drug eluting one, I like it, chrome wheels and a 302 Boss made it my stent of choice.

Stop taking the plavix and start taking Nattokinase, plavix is for pussies.

I stopped taking all of the chemical drugs within 3 months after having the stent put in, those fucking drugs were fucking me up, muscle loss, fatigue, and bruising were only a few of the side affects of the plavix, confusion and forgetfulness were the worst of them though.

I now control my cholesterol with niacin, flaxseed oil and COq10,diet and exercise, I control my blood pressure with apple cider vinegar and garlic and a well regulated attitude.

use ubiquinol, not ubiquinone for your q10, btw. I take 400 daily liquid. I also use olive leaf extract, cinammon and ester-c and I have the best numbers on cholesterol I ever had. I'm off Plavix next week, and I only had the bruising. My muscle def is better than it's ever been, but I try to do daily interval training.

I have a good friend that grows garlic, I eat at least a bulb every day. Apple cider vinegar makes me gag, the lisinopril low dose and 60-75 minutes of cardio daily take care of that pretty well, I've been a religious 12080 for a year now. A1C is down to 6.1 also...thats the grape leaf, I think.

Nah, it's just the "Ma" and Flagler Show or one of the many variations. "Ma" brings it with him wherever he goes.

You can't be getting bucket loads of sex if you do shit like this over and over.

You know the kids nobody else liked had to have grown up. Although I never wondered about them before, I understand what happened to them now. They aren't all cops, I guess. (Sorry, LC, haha.)

RE: DES and elective surgery - Ma Huang Sor - 07-07-2012

Who are you talking to Cracker? nvrmind...if you're talking to me, I never had any heart muscle damage, just a little preventative maintenence. 2 hour procedure 36 hour convalescence and then pretty much back to normal. I brought this up because of the way they've changed their worldview on the tools they're using.

As opposed to the alternative.

I notice no difference in my sex life. 2.3 times a week on the average for the last 33 years.
