Have a beautiful day, Mockers. Life is pretty fucking good on this Monday morning...even with a tiny wine hangover. My beloved Birds won their fifth consecutive game against those dreadful NY Giants, it's Thanksgiving week, soon some of my closet friends will fill my home, some of the best shopping of the year is almost upon us, life is as close to perfect as it gets without winning the lottery. :B

I'm letting this go because I happen to be into Thanksgiving.

As a very-close-to-heathen, I am also a Thanksgiving lover. Who doesn't like to look around the table and be honestly thankful for what they have? And who doesn't love that turkey sandwich in the middle of the night on very soft white bread with a little crunchy sea salt and pepper and mayo? (Don't bitch you crazy fucking mayo haters, there is something super fucked up Freudian about you if you don't like mayo.)
Thanksgiving is more about spending the time than about spending the money. The house will smell great and the candles will all be lit and music will be playing and wine will pouring. How could a holiday be more perfect?
I'm forcing my eastern views on my family for Christmas this year. I will still do the tree and trimmings, but I am only catching one Black Friday sale for the little people in my family. Everybody else will get cash with the instructions to pay off a bill with the money. I'm not buying them more crap to fill their homes with (except my son who wants Black Ops, but I figure that's battle training). I may be a total whore-bitch and have them give me a bill to pay for them. That would really drive the point home. Hmm. I will have to decide how much of a Grinch I can stand to be on Christmas.

Yay for you Duchess! I'm glad you're having a peachy morning! Seriously. I wish my Monday was as good. I had a friend die today..that has not even remotely made my day happy. It's just so fucking sad. Family man, two kids, 42. Just dropped. I work in a morgue and no one knew he had passed until a coworker opened the body bag and saw him. He came in under his given name, not his nickname so it was a huge fucking sock to everyone.
To make myself feel better I moped over to Wally World to get some baking supplies and ended up buying a Betta. He's a little blue and red fantail spitfire of a fish...very fiesty. Would the Mockers like the honors of naming him?

I don't know why I think it's cool that you work in a morgue, that's just bizarre but, I do.

Not a Doc, just the peon that removes the organs...I do more than that, but it's the main part of my job.

I quit reading Cornwell's stuff after Hornet's Nest. What a complete waste of time. Awful book.

I had a Beta that refused to freaking DIE. I inherited him from a high school play and he lived in a bathroom for over 5 years. We never fed him, he ate algae from the tank. His name was Sharky. I seriously thought about flushing him, but could never bring myself to do it (septic tank, truly would have been murder). I gave him away to a friend and they told me he died a month later. They must have fed him.
Sorry about your friend. That sucks, especially right before a holiday. And I was going on and on about being thankful.
Name him Dick. Dick has to live in his tank all alone, too, because of his pissy personality.

Poor Sharky. At the office I had a Beta named Sushi that was almost 3 years old when he died. He lived a loong happy fish life. I was such a pussy hen he died..cried like a big baby.
Yes, my friend. His Father just passed a few months ago so I'm sure his family is reeling, especially with the fucking holidays approaching. I feel like I have a wet blanket draped over me..it just sucks. Plus I have a hemorrhoid and I'm PMS'ing like a crazy so all that combined makes me a big blubbery bitch with a swollen asshole.
Dick it is!

Dick is going to be over the moon that I suggested the lil' beta be named after him. This will make his day!
