MOBILE, Alabaama - John DeBlase's father, Richard DeBlase, was not at this morning's bond hearing for his son. John DeBlase is being held on a more than $200,000 bond, after admitting to police that his two children, five year old Natalie, and three year old Chase, are dead. In fact, Richard DeBlase has not spoken to his son, in weeks, and doesn't care to either. Richard and his wife, Ann, say Natalie and Chase lived with them for over two years, and they loved the children dearly. "These were two really adorable kids.. really adorable. You couldn't help but love them." John is the DeBlase's only son, and they never thought he was capable of harming his children. Richard says, after the news came that the children are dead, he has disowned his son. "I have relinquished him as being my son. I am sorry. I cannot grasp how you can not turn around and protect your kids." Richard and Ann are not supporting John now, in any way. Richard says, "As God is my witness. If John had ended up in my face hearing what happened to the kids, how I would react? I don't know. If you have have a dog that has rabies, you shoot it... you get rid of it.. I don't know when it's your son." Twenty-seven John DeBlase has not contacted his parents, since he was charged with Child Abuse, and Abuse of a Corpse last week. Richard and Ann DeBlase are now focusing on giving the children a proper burial when police locate the children's bodies. Heather Keaton, the children's stepmother, is being held in a Kentucky jail on child abuse charges. She is expected to be extradited to Alabama sometime this week. http://www.wkrg.com/alabama/article/gran...0_2-38-pm/ "I may be John's father but I hope he roots in hell with Heather for what they have done. Natalie and Jonathan were our love we would do anything for them and we tryed (sic).Richard J. DeBlase" facebook

Deblase children's real mother: (post #100, 3rd photo down)
"I wasn't living in a place that was suitable for children," Heathcock said. "He was the best thing for them. He loved them. I would have never let him take them if I thought otherwise." ok she let him have the kids for whatever reason. BUT that is not an explanation why she never even spoke to the children in the past year. wtf does that mean? was she a druggie? homeless? i don't know. maybe a little eye on HER kids would have alerted her to possible abuse/danger. fuck these people and their weeping and wailing after the kids have been murdered when they had nothing to do with their kids. spare me the self-pitying drama and TV appearances.

the bio-mother had "cognitive delays". yep, a 'tard. so why are 'tards having kids? nevermind, there is no answer to that. she's not the murderer here.
the accused "stepmother" is no stepmother. they weren't married. WKRG MOBILE, Alabama - There is still no sign of little Natalie and Chase DeBlase. Police were not searching for a second day, Tuesday. We're told they're taking time to regroup and gather more resources. Jackson County, Mississippi Sheriff, Mike Byrd, says they will be back out Wednesday searching for the body of one of the children. 3-year-old Chase DeBlase is believed to be buried near Vancleve. His sister, 5-year-old Natalie, is thought to be buried in Citronelle, Alabama. Mobile Police believe both the children's father, John DeBlase, and their stepmother, Heather Keaton are responsible for their deaths. Police tell News 5, the children might have been killed and buried months apart in two separate states. Sheriff Byrd says they will have several search teams out looking Wednesday, "this is just plain evil, hell's going to be a lot for them I feel like it's just horrible that you would do an innocent child this way and I hope they get prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and we're going to do everything we can to try to bring closure to the biological mother and you know because I know she's going through a hard, hard, time," said Byrd. The children's father, John DeBlase, is still behind bars on a more than 200-thousand dollar bond. Right now, he's just facing charges of aggravated child abuse and abuse of a corpse for reportedly burying the children's bodies. It's likely he won't make bond, he said in court Monday morning he could not afford an attorney. DeBlase will be back in a Mobile County courtroom Wednesday for an arraignment, that's when he will enter a plea in the case. The children's stepmother, Heather Keaton, is still behind bars in Kentucy facing child abuse charges. She is expected to be extradited back to Alabama some time this week.

Thank you. It seems so simple & logical to me. It's only common sense that one doesn't bring children into this world without a way to care for them and then to continue to reproduce is insane. So..that means they have no common sense & need to be protected from themselves, that's where my spay/neuter program comes into play...I'm there to help.

MOBILE, Alabama -- Local authorities will resume their searches Wednesday in Alabama and Mississippi for the remains of two children presumed dead for at least six months. Mobile police said Jonathan Chase DeBlase, 3, may have been killed as early as March while his sister, 5-year-old Natalie Alexis DeBlase may have died in June. Their father, 27-year-old John DeBlase, admitted this week to dumping their lifeless bodies, one in Vancleave, Miss., and in Mobile, according to authorities. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. Wednesday on charges of two counts of aggravated child abuse and abuse of a corpse. DeBlase, according to statements he made during his bond hearing, has no plans to hire an attorney. Efforts to organize a large search team to recover the body of Jonathan or Natalie were underway today in Mississippi. Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd said about 40 officers plan to search a 5-square-mile area north of Vancleave and near Miss. 57. “We’re going to have 10 teams,” Byrd said. “Each team will have a team leader, and they will be in charge of a specific area.” Byrd said the search will include the department’s mounted patrol, which has 25 patrol horses and two cadaver dogs. Byrd said Mobile officers would join the search and also have cadaver dogs. Investigators plan to search close to Miss. 57 on foot and then span out on horses, Byrd said. From what we’ve been told, the body is not that far off of the highway,” Byrd said. “We’ll do a line search and just go from there.” Byrd said cases of missing and presumed dead children can cause even the toughest officers to breakdown with emotion. “We need closure for everyone,” Byrd said. “I pray we find this child. It’s heartbreaking. At this point, we really don’t know if he’s telling us the truth, but we’re going to treat it like it is true.” Heather Leavell-Keaton.JPGView full sizeHeather Leavell-Keaton DeBlase told Jackson County authorities that he was high on pills when he dumped the bodies, but Mobile police question that claim. “I don’t doubt that this guy has used drugs,” said Mobile police Deputy Chief James Barber. “But, to my understanding, there is no indication from him that he was using drugs at the time when he dumped the bodies.” Barber said Mobile police would resume their search in a 6-mile-stretch of Citronelle, between Prine Road and Beverly Jeffries Highway “as early as” Wednesday. He declined to discuss the details of those planned searches. Barber said, “Given the amount of time that’s passed, and because of the heat throughout the summer, the decomposition would have went really quickly. We may find clothing, and then we could find bones in the area of that clothing. At this point, we are looking for remains.” The bodies were left, possibly covered with debris, but never buried, Barber said. Mobile police spokesman Officer Christopher Levy said that since the search began for the children, several people have come forward through the media and to the department to report instances of the children being abused. “We’ve got reports from people describing burns and injuries that needed medical attention,” Levy said. “And the amazing thing is no one reported these things when they were happening.” Based on interviews with John DeBlase and Heather Leavell-Keaton, Levy said investigators believe Jonathan was killed in March and dumped in Vancleave, while his sister was killed in June and left in Citronelle. “We can’t say right now definitely how they died,” Levy said.

MOBILE, Alabama -- John DeBlase, who authorities say admitted to dumping the lifeless bodies of his 2 young children along the northern Gulf Coast, briefly appeared in a Mobile courtroom this morning for an arraignment hearing. DeBlase, charged with 2 counts of aggravated child abuse and abuse of a corpse, was escorted into Mobile County District Judge Charlie McKnight's courtroom this morning. The father's hair was disheveled and he wore a small pair of black glasses. He rested his handcuffed arms on a podium as the judge asked whether he had hired a lawyer. He replied that he had not. McKnight then appointed attorney Jim Sears, who was not in the courtroom, and scheduled a preliminary hearing for Jan. 4. DeBlase is being held in jail in lieu of $206,000 bail.

Dec 08, 2010 11:55 AM JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Search crews in Jackson County believe they've found the body of a missing three year old boy from Alabama. Sheriff Mike Byrd told WLOX News that forensic tests will still have to be done to verify the identity. Crews have been combing the woods north of Vancleave for three year old Chase DeBlase and his five year old sister, Natalie. The children have been missing since March. Their father, John DeBlase, told investigators he buried his kids in the woods. Since he confessed to burying the girl in Alabama, the search in Mississippi has now ended.

Dear God.
Sun Herald VANCLEAVE -- Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd has confirmed that search teams have found the remains of what they believe to be a missing Alabama boy. A search began early this morning with teams forming lines and walking through thick brush just north of Vancleave. Shortly after 10 a.m., searchers found what they believe are the remains of 3-year-old Chase. Several teams were involved in the search which was successful in finding human remains, believed to belong to missing 3-year-old Chase DeBlase of Alabama. Chase's sister Natalie, 5, is still missing and believed to have been buried near Citronelle, Alabama. The father told Mobile authorities about where to find the child, about 30 feet off Mississippi 57 north of Vancleave. John DeBlase was in the area at one point to help authorities find the body of his son. A Belgian malinois, Valor, and dog handler Judy Roe with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Flotilla, found the remains this morning. Valor is trained in remains detection. According to authorities, the child, wearing only a diaper, was placed in garbage bag sealed with red tape. DeBlase told Mobile authorities he buried the child on Father’s Day.

Has he not given several different stories about where they were buried, or dropped off?
I'm thinking a pair of pliers applied correctly might get some good answers.

DEBLASE "THINKS" THE BOY WAS DEAD WHEN HE THREW HIM IN THE WOODS IN A TRASH BAG.
there are simply no words. WHAS news11 Police aren't ready yet to charge Leavell-Keaton with killing either of the children, but Levy has said that both suspects shared responsibility for their deaths. The couple's families echo each one's allegations. Leavell-Keaton's mother said her daughter had tried before to leave a lying, controlling man, and they suspect he poisoned the children. DeBlase's parents, however, said they believe it was a violent and unpredictable stepmother who manipulated their son into helping cover up slayings she committed. Still, they're not excusing DeBlase. "I can't believe John is responsible for this, but I know he could have prevented it," Deblase's mother, Dorothy, told The Associated Press before the boy's body was found. "But if Heather told him to go jump off a bridge, he would go jump in a river." DeBlase was arraigned earlier Wednesday on the lesser charges. A judge set a preliminary hearing for Jan. 4. His court-appointed attorney didn't immediately return a telephone message. Levy said witnesses told authorities both suspects beat the kids on numerous occasions. "We have some incidents where people observed them striking the children with objects," Levy said, adding investigators are disturbed no one came forward sooner. "The children had some injuries that warranted medical attention which they never properly received." DeBlase and Leavell-Keaton had been together since 2008, but they were not legally married. The couple met on the website MySpace while DeBlase and his children were living with his parents and Leavell-Keaton was attending nearby Spring Hill College in Mobile. Her mother, Helena Keaton, said her daughter was legally blind and dependent on DeBlase because of her limited eyesight. "She does not know really what happened to the kids. We suspect he poisoned them," Keaton told the AP, adding that her daughter smelled really bad breath on both children. "They had the same symptoms. They were not eating, they were not drinking. They were beginning to use the bathroom on themselves although they were potty trained," she said. "John would not take those children to get medical care." In the spring, Keaton said, DeBlase forced Leavell-Keaton to go on a long ride. DeBlase finally stopped and got something out of the vehicle, Keaton said, but Leavell-Keaton -- who was pregnant at the time with DeBlase's third child -- was unsure what it was. Keaton described DeBlase as a controlling, "habitual liar." "She has tried to get away from John before, and he has tracked her down," Keaton said. The couple moved to Kentucky without the children this summer, and Leavell-Keaton had DeBlase's child in August. DeBlase's parents gave a very different account in an interview before the bodies were found. They say Leavell-Keaton controlled the relationship, wouldn't allow DeBlase to take his children to church and forced him to move out of their home with the kids. They told the AP they suspect Leavell-Keaton killed the kids during a fit of rage while DeBlase attended night classes to become a personal trainer, then manipulated him into getting rid of the bodies. The grandparents last saw the children in February when they tracked down their son and Leavell-Keaton at a trailer park in the rural Alabama town of Citronelle. Leavell-Keaton's family never met the kids, and DeBlase's parents didn't even know the woman was pregnant. They say the pain of losing their grandchildren is unbearable. They described Chase as a rambunctious little blonde-haired boy and Natalie as "the princess," with penetrating big blue eyes who loved baking cookies with her grandmother. Chase was wearing only a diaper when his father placed him in a black trash bag, tied the red draw strings and dumped his tiny body in a wooded area off Miss. 57 about 12 miles north of Interstate 10, Byrd said. "He told us he parked on the side of the road, stepped in the woods, but could still see the headlights of his car," Byrd said. "He put some straw and stuff over the bag and left. We think little Chase was already dead when he left him." Byrd and a team of about 40 officers discovered numerous bones and bits of black and white plastic.

the other scumbag says his sons are "safe". bullshit, i don't believe it. do his parents??
The Detroit News The parents of a Morenci man charged in the disappearance of his three sons said he told them today that the boys are safe. Roxann and John Skelton spent a half-hour communicating with their son, John Russell Skelton, 39, by telephone and video link within the Lucas County Jail in Toledo, according to Corrections Administrator Jim O'Neal. The Jacksonville, Fla., couple told reporters outside the jail that their son didn't reveal where the boys are, but insisted he had to act to get them out of harm's way. the couple says Skelton told them the boys were the subject of sex acts with his estranged wife. However, the former pastor of John and his estranged wife adamantly denies claims of abuse. The parent's jailhouse comments today drew a startled response from the pastor of John and Tanya Skelton's Morenci church. Rev. Donna Galloway also visited Skelton in jail last week, where she said he offered no explanation of what happened to the children. "Mr. Skelton, through his relatives, is attempting to deflect the attention from himself and his bad acts," Galloway said today. "If the boys are somewhere safe, anyone with knowledge of that should tell because they would be as criminally liable as he is. I'd be looking over my shoulder for a police car or an FBI agent." more looney-tunes like casey anthony's parents-----> When the couple was questioned about whether they asked Skelton where they boys were, they said he would not tell them "nor did we want him to tell us." deblase's charges upgraded to 2 counts murder now.
One Mobile County District Court document, an arrest warrant for John DeBlase, alleges that DeBlase committed an act of cruelty and mistreatment by allowing Leavell-Keaton to duct tape Jonathan Chase DeBlase's hands to the sides of his legs and a broom to his back, then place a sock in his mouth before making the 3-year-old stand in a corner all night as the adults went to bed. The documents obtained by the Mississippi Press also state: * Sometime between March 1, 2010, and Nov. 10, 2010, John DeBlase allowed Leavell-Keaton to duct tape Natalie's hands and feet, place a sock in her mouth, place her inside a black suitcase, then leave the suitcase inside a closet from about 8 in the morning until 10 at night. HOW DO YOU DO THIS TO A BABY AND THEN SLEEP?? crime scene techs at site where boy's remains found yesterday.
