:O Snow? I'm freaking freezing here--it's been dropping down in to the 30's-40's at night and it stays in the 50's during the day.

They are closing schools here already. There is no bread, milk, or eggs (or chips, it is Georgia afterall, fatass rednecks) in any store.
Why do people buy three weeks worth of groceries when it is only going to be icy for two days? Why? And why fill up your fridge if we are going to lose power? Are these people retarded? Why, yes, they are.

all my years in florida i was bemused at the run on beer whenever a hurricane was coming. i can understand getting lots of bottled water, i did.
but the rednecks were stripping the stores of beer every time. so...when your home may be blown to pieces, or you may need to save the lives of your family, the thing to do is become falling-down stupid drunk. you don't want to be sober when you die you stupid assmunch.

whoopee!
all-out blizzard for New England tuesday-wednesday. If the low strengthens near Cape Cod like it is expected to at this point, significant blowing and drifting of snow will also impact this corridor. Whiteout and near blizzard conditions will be possible. Travel in New York City, Boston, and Portland, Maine, will be severely impacted and could even be brought to a standstill for a time.

Crash, i have been reading about the terrible and tragic flooding in Australia, have you been personally affected?
how about you Aussiefriend?

They sure do drive little vehicles there. I would never feel safe in something the size of a matchbox car. I'd rather pay a hundred bucks to fill up my Navigator rather than twelve for a deathtrap.

Atlanta, which got 4 to 7 inches, has just eight snow plows

Just saw a poll on CNN, or somewhere, asking if you stocked up when there was a threat of a bad storm. I do not usually...because I keep fairly well stocked. I do remember one time, about 10-12 years ago, there was a threat of a "Major Snow Event" for the following day. Schools were being closed in advance, etc, etc. The evening before the "storm" I went to the store to get a few things..because it happened to be payday for me, and the day I usually shopped. Went back to get milk..there was NONE on the shelf..at all. Some store clerk had put one of those "Got Milk" signs in front of the empty cooler.
Turns out, the next day was clear with no snow..the storm had totally bypassed us. We are supposed to get weather starting tonight...but no grocery shopping for me.

It sounds like all you need is someone to rub your belly and whisper sweet nothings in your ear. It will be the same here like it has been all winter thus far , coat in the morning, short sleeves in the afternoon.

Snow-n-shit today. Very slippery driving, will get about 9 inches by evening. But I guess we are not getting the worst of it.
BUT...as I was pulling into work this morning, saw a woman go zipping by in a SUV, one hand on the wheel and the other clutching her phone to her ear. I hate it when people think they can drive stupid because they have a big vehicle with 4WD. |
