i am pretty sure that they tell you that some people react terribly to face peals. it is not a 100% safe procedure but the vanity far outweighs the risk for some people.

Some women go through this bs because society has made them feel they are not good enough...You're too fat...You're too thin...You are not pretty enough...You are not tall enough...Blah...Blah...Blah...Its all bullshit...When one has self confidence & a good amount of self esteem they don't feel the need to "measure up" to what society says pretty is...Most of my friends are guys {not all} and every last one of them has told me that the sexist women to them are the ones that are the most confident, they may not be the prettiest or be built like a brick shit house, as one put it, but they are confident.
You're starting to grow on me, D.
I didn't include the link to the video that was included with this story, but this woman talked about the skin damage she had gotten while she lived somewhere like Greece (and you can see she's very fair) and she wanted to get rid of some of the problem areas like on her forehead. She had had various chemical peels before without problems but this must've been a new batch of chemicals since she had such a bad reaction. She said she's STILL got patches of chemicals oozing out of her skin occasionally.
Soooo... I can understand people wanting to do this, but I'm of the (old) school that thinks that you should try to take care of what you've got because you'll deserve the face you'll have when you're fifty. I'm content with my middle aged face and this sort of torture certainly doesn't appeal to me.

I feel badly for her. Unfortunately, people are willing to take the risks to look better. Sometimes just a little better.

Thanks, Poopy...I still don't know how to cut & paste or I would have brought that one sentence down here.

Have some text in a file, or other post, or webpage you want to get into a new post? You can copy the text by highlighting it with your cursor (hold the left mouse button down while dragging it across the desired text) and then copy it by either going to your browser's menu under Edit and clicking copy, or just hold your CTRL key down while pressing the C key (CTRL-C). CTRL-C will copy the text and then you can park the cursor in a post or PM you are making and paste it in there using either that same browser Edit menu or the shortcut CTRL-V. Also, you can highlight ALL the text in one stroke as a shortcut but parking your cursor on it and hitting CTRL-A (be careful, sometimes this grabs more than just the text you want) or using that browser Edit menu and clicking Select All.

Thanks, MF...You & a few others tried to help me with this before...Its like I have a fuse blown, I just cannot grasp it...I fully understand I will probably go up in flames by admitting that in the open forum.
Or you can just use the quote option, nimrod.

Duchess Wrote:I didn't want to quote the whole friggin' post...Just one sentence. Just drag your cursor over the text so that it is highlighted. Then copy it like I said while it is highlighted. You can then paste it like I said. If you want to put just that text in a quote box, after you paste it in your new post, highlight it again and click the quote select button in the toolbar that shows as you make your post:
You can also use the quote button and delete out the parts you don't want, isolating just the part you do want to quote.

Duchess, like Maggot breath indicated, just drag your cursor over some words by holding your left mouse button down. You can even double click on a word to highlight it. Then while it is highlighted, just right click on it for the menu to appear and select copy. That's another way.
