Aaron's Inc spying on Rent to Own Computer Customers?
#1
Fortunately, most of us are able to outright purchase our computers without having to resort rent to own. Who's to say this doesn't happen way more often than revealed. How difficult is it to get access to a web cam? The more advanced we get the more creative the crimes...

OK, I'm going to say it:

I'm not fortunate. I work and I don't spend my money on crack and ho's. That's why I can buy a computer with cash every year or two. It has nothing to do with fate or luck or genetics. If you have to rent it to own it, you can't afford it. Save your money until you have enough. Maybe stay home from the fucking bar for two months in a row or stay away from the drive through window.

Apparently the hillbillies from West Virginia aren't the only idiots who sell their soul to the company store.

Whew. I feel better.

Anybody in America should be able to save at least 25.00 a week. If you can't your not trying hard enough. Or you're to stupid for those shoes.

Do you see the payments on your car or house as being any different than rent to own?

You fucking people crack me up.

Yes, I do. Rent to own is for poor people. They charge exorbitant fees, by the time your item is paid off you will have spent 2-3 times more than what the damn thing is worth & I've heard that whatever it is that you are buying is most likely used goods.

rent-to-own is similar to those payday loan places. a way to rip off the poor. there are always people around to gouge the poor, at interest rates nobody that has any money/decent income would ever pay. the poor pay more for stuff.

that being said...i observed this a lot in florida...renters, usually of trailers, go get rent-to-own furniture, TVs whatever. they then steal it when they get evicted and move to next trailer. OR they simply leave it behind, saves moving bother.

then rent-to-own people show up and load it up.

they charge such high rates to cover these loses and to buy more cheap crap from cheap crappy stores to rent out to the poor who can't simply go buy stuff.

Do the math on your mortgage.

auto lease

bank loan

it's all the same, poor people do use rent to own, which has never made a lot of sense to me, 35 dollars a week saved could purchase most of the stuff out right in a few weeks, but in reality you all use a rent to own process in your lives ,just at a different level.

by the way, I haven't had a car payment in 25 years, I always pay cash for my old cars and trucks, I can't work on the new cars so I don't buy them.

I don't use banks or loans to buy my houses either, I only buy owner contract so this really does not fit with how I live, but I know it does for most of the rest of you.

We pay cash for our cars. We choose to have a mortgage because the interest rate is only around 5% and my husband can make more than that investing our cash vs. paying down our mortgage.

I may decide to end it the day I have to start paying for crack and ho's.

I'm not a bean counter (haha Tiki, honestly wish I had taken the time to know more about it), so I don't keep an eye on exact amounts I spend. I am very aware of percentages of income/debt/expense. I have a certain percentage guideline that I am willing to pay for housing and basic needs, a certain percentage for extras, to give/share, to save, for food and entertainment and travel, etc. I think people screw themselves when they lose sight of the overall picture and just concentrate on specific amounts. Maybe it's my own personal mindfuck, but I can adjust the specific amounts within my ratios if my income fluctuates (say, for instance, the state of Georgia's budget goes in the effen toilet).

I didn't come from money. If I can raise kids on my own with little/no child support and live in a decent house and keep the cars running and grass cut, I really don't see how anybody else can have a good excuse to have a shit life all the time. I've had bad years and low points, but it all turns out OK. I don't understand the constant fucked up life thing. Does not compute with me.
