What's your opinion on the matter? Is it ever ok to cheat on a spouse?
Do people that cheat deserve to be thrown off the highest mountain?

I generally don't approve and personally I am always monogamous but sometimes shit happens I guess, I suppose if you genuinely aren't happy in a relationship your eyes and mind might wander, not me though yet, touch wood.

At a point in my life I would have said without a doubt that cheating on a significant other was wrong. However life has a way of throwing curve balls & changing who we are, sometimes making us who we never thought we would become.
Awhile ago I read an article that said more & more women are cheating- not for the emotional reasons but because of physical ones. I think monogamy was more realistic when people lived to be 45, however now that we are living much longer I think it is a little scary to look at a spouse & realize that we will be served the same sausage day after day. :O

Some people place too high of a value on sex. Shit happens. I wouldn't end a relationship over a piece of ass. I'd be way more concerned about an emotional relationship rather than a physical one. I wouldn't feel betrayed by it if feelings/love weren't involved. Sex is sex. I also think it's more than a little unrealistic to expect someone to be faithful for 50-60 yrs.

And he's thinking: "Shit . . . same green, same hole . . . day after day after day!"

WTF? If you don't want to be monogamous, don't be married or agree to that before you swear your eternal allegiance.
It's a slippery slope. Once you let yourself be a piece of shit about one thing, you will find it easier to be a bigger piece of shit about something else.
If you have to lie about something, you suck. I hate a fucking liar. Adults shouldn't lie. That is a character flaw, not a quirk.

I have something else to say about this...
When a guy is out there looking for a lil' strange, it's not up to the female to determine if he's married or involved, that's not her responsibility AT ALL, it's his, he's the one that owes the wife or SO something, not her.

If he lies, it's on him. If he tells the truth and she still does him, it's shared.
I just don't get the "cheating" thing. Be honest. If you are a committed couple, you should be able to talk about anything. A lot of women would stay for monetary or security reasons or because it is an agreed-upon thing. Lying about it is never OK. That's the part that I judge, the lying. The sex thing is up to the people involved.

Agreed, once a person has cheated it is easier to do it again.
I know someone that justifies her affairs because her husband is addicted to porn. They love each other, have children together & generally get along very well but neither one seems to satisfy the other in the bedroom. Not saying it makes the cheating ok, but maybe it puts a different spin on things for her.

Maybe the person didn't intend to 'fuck around' when they got married. Things change. A person can be knocked down from the pedestal that they were once on. There are so many reasons why a divorce is not always the right answer.
Then there is always a revenge fuck.

I don't see a problem IF they discuss it and both parties are OK with it. She needs to say, "Hey, while you are here jacking it, I'm going out to get mines." (Hahaha, intentional, stereotype anyone? What? You say stereotypes are based on exhibited behaviors so you can't really blame the observer? Me, too.)

I don't think I could do the revenge fuck thing. I'm not going to fuck just for the sake of getting even. That just seems kind of icky to me.

It's bad karma and bad for your soul. Plus, something like 20% of the population has herpes.

I can see how it would be bad for the soul, I wouldn't like me & I'm all about loving myself. I have to be happy with me in order to be happy in general.
