We only get the slightest hint of a dusting here so it looked pretty good to me! I actually kind of miss getting snow. Not shoveling it though.

We finally got a big ol nasty thunderstorm here today. The temp dropped 20 degrees and it's 79 now...Thank God!

Races were canceled on Friday because of the heat, someone took their horse home & trained it and the horse dropped dead. I'm trying like hell to find out who it was & when I do I'm turning that muthafucka in to the racing commission.

Just got a big storm here. Went to roll up my car windows and heard sirens like crazy 2 blocks away. Lightning struck a tree and landed on a UPS truck. Driver was killed instantly.
Makes you stop and think...you never know when it's your time to go. It's 70 degrees here now and feels GREAT!!! but...more storms blowing in and what do my ears hear in the distance?? The fucking Ice Cream Truck!! Have not heard/seen it one time yet this whole hot miserable summer, then he comes out when it's storming and down right chilly...WTF ...way to make some money dumbass.

Are you anywhere near those towns?

I try not to go to that side of town unless I have to. Spaghetti Junction is horrid. I don't know why people live around there and deal with that on a daily basis. It's not even hot yet. Late August is a bitch here. There is so much humidity the pump on my air conditioner runs like a fountain pump.

Heat index of 109 here. I have decided to ignore the heat index and maybe it'll go away. August sucks here. No wonder I hate my birthday.

The highest I've seen the heat index this year has been 133. It could go higher & I still wouldn't prefer winter weather. I missed snow & cold for YEARS and then we got hammered with it two yrs. in a row. I'm over it.
