Gerard Depardieu couldn't wait for airline toilet

It's been a long time since French actor Gérard Depardieu, 62, made headlines.

But he's making them now after causing an uproar on a CityJet airplane last night. On a flight from Paris to Dublin that was delayed on the tarmac, he was told he had to wait to use the toilet, and he responded by urinating in the cabin in front of his fellow passengers.

"I will only confirm that he, in effect, urinated in the plane," a spokeswoman for the Air France-KLM subsidiary told AFP.

People reports that the airline had a sense of humor about the incident, writing on Twitter:

As you may have seen on the news, we are busy mopping the floor of one of our planes this morning... We'd also like to remind all passengers that our planes are fully equipped with toilet facilities...

The plane returned to the gate for cleanup. No word on what action was taken against Depardieu.

Some rules are stupid. I was on a flight once and they asked that no one stand outside the bathroom doors. That was fine but my then 3 year old daughter had to pee. Fucking flight attendant made me go way back to my seat while my 3 year old went to the bathroom so when she came out, I was no where to be seen. I went up and grabbed her but still. Dumb.
