Crowds had gathered at one sound system in West London to enjoy the music and dance as two Metropolitan officers in their high-visibility jackets looked on.
He was captured on cameraphone busting a move and the footage has since gone viral across the Internet.
The moves appear to be inspired by 'skanking' a dance style associated with the ska, punk and reggae scenes.
After about a minute of shuffling and shaking, the portly officer returns to his solemn post as the delighted crowd carry on enjoying themselves.
