The hubby and I were talking about this. Wondering if Apple can survive and continue to thrive with out him.

If the company fails it will be many years before that happens but I don't see that in Apple's future at all. Steve Jobs is our generations Thomas Edison. In his last few interviews he looked tired, especially when he officially resigned as CEO back in August.

Very sad, indeed. His name will live on in the history books for the great advances he made in technology and in business in general.

Apple has been surviving a while without him at the helm. He's been very sick for a number of years and hasn't functioned as much more than title only for a few years. I got to meet him last year at a childrens cancer research fundraiser. Really nice guy.

I seems the prototypes for the Ipancreas and Iliver just didn't arrive soon enough for him.
My mate will be devastated he is a full on Apple acolyte.
We need to punish the French, ignore the Germans and forgive the Russians - Condoleezza Rice.

My husband told me this morning. He had to wake me up at 3am to tell me!
It's sad, yes, but that man was almost looking forward to it <--I say this with respect. I will put a quote here from Jobs "Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life." I'm one of the people that definitely needed to hear that shit!
