I haven't had any experiences of my own but I thought I'd share one that my mother had, which includes my son.

My mother called me freaked out one day to tell me the following story. This was years ago, and in the home I had lived in from 4th grade until I graduated from high school and went off to college.

My mom got in the habit of falling asleep on the couch watching tv. One night she woke up and the tv was off. She didn't think much of it, turned it back on, and fell back asleep. She woke up again and it was once again off, it was at this point that she "felt" something. She looked down at the end of the couch and saw a little boy standing there. She got up ran to her bedroom and eventually fell back asleep after calming down.

This same thing happened several times. She came to a point where she felt she wanted to address the little boy. She sat down and said "listen, I know you're here, and that is fine. We can live peacefully together, but you're really scaring me". She didn't see him again after that.

A few years later, my son (who is now 3) was staying at her house. She was in the kitchen drinking her coffee and my son was in the living room, which also includes the stairs to go to the second floor. She heard my son crying and went into the living room to find him on the floor. She thought he'd just fallen off the couch (he was 2 at the time). She asked if he was ok and he said "he hit me". During this conversation, my son was holding his cheek and kept looking towards the stairs. My mom tried to get him to tell her who hit him but he would just stare at the stairs, not answering.

My mom tried to think nothing of it and went back to drinking her coffee in the kitchen. It happened again and this time my son wouldn't say anything and just continued to look toward the stairs. It freaked my mom out and she still will not leave my son alone while he's at her house.

We're not sure of any history in the home that involved a little boy but it appears whoever he is, the presence of my son makes him very upset!

I admit that I love reading about this stuff or watching movies/shows, but I know that if something ever happened to me personally I'd freak out!

Duchess has had a few paranormal dreams, I know because I sent them to her.

She knows what Ramsey can only imagine, If she wants sweet dreams she has to dump maggot, I just can't get between them, maggot is liable to go off the deep end and feed chipmunks that he saved from death to his cat.

I can't stand any of it. hahaha. It scares the crap outta me. I don't even watch horror flicks because by the time the film is over my imagination has the boogie man right outside my door.

i have known ever since childhood that i had a finely-tuned sense of ESP. many think that is really sensitive intuition but what is intuition if not relying on nebulous clues and feelings? i have had some unexplainable incidents related to my ESP. ooooooooooooooooooooo Becoming evil

Duchess, We might have something in common, but you added hahaha after your "I can't stand any of it".

For me there are no hahaha's about it I can't watch most horror flicks if I want to sleep at night for the next week or two. I still have never seen the full move of The Exorcist, and I'm middle aged.

On the other hand, I really like science fiction.

Jem, I really like this thread!! Thanks for starting it.

Doesn't really scare me, although I was freaked out the first time, because I wasn't expecting it.

I've had a few other strange experiences in my life. My first husband and I Were renting a house when my oldest was a baby, every once in a while, I would catch a glimpse of an older woman, sometimes hovering over his crib, watching him sleep, other times watching him play in the living-room.

The homeowners son was also our 'maintenance and rent collector' guy, because the owner had moved to Florida, with his new wife. He had come over to trim the bushes or something like that, and asked if I had seen his mother yet. I hadn't told anyone about the woman, so I asked him what he meant, and he said that his mother had died in that house. He said that when his father remarried, the new wife swore up and down that his mother was 'haunting the house' and made it difficult for the new wife, so his father bought a house in Florida for his new wife, and rented this one out.

I told him that I had seen an old woman sometimes watching the baby, but that she didn't scare me, I felt more at ease than anything. The son said it made sense, because his mother ran a daycare center out of the home up until she died, and that she loved watching babies.

I just thought of it as an extra set of eyes, to help me out, because sometimes she would let me know when Pat was about to get into something he shouldn't be.

The more I think about it, the more the experiences come back to me. This is another experience with my home right now. When we first moved there, my husband and I would hear a female talking, mostly in the kitchen. It sounded like she was muffled, but you could definitely tell it was a female. I never understood "it" clear enough to know what they were saying.

We do not have neighbors at ALL, so it wasn't a neighbor.

About a month ago, my husband fell asleep on the couch and was awoken by someone saying his name quickly in his ear. He thought it was me, but I was in our bed asleep and had been for hours. According to Demonologists, a "demon" will do this or continue to do this until you acknowledge it. While I don't think there's any "demons" in our house, it's still damn creepy.

I've been startled out of a dead sleep to hear a loud commotion coming from our living room (one out of the two oldest rooms in house). I go to investigate-nothing's fallen or anything. This has happened SEVERAL times.

There are shadow people all over where I work.

I see them every night.

They some times move things and at times are very pro active in getting attention.

some have seen images of people, I just see the shadow people.

I had one night clean up guy quit and leave within minutes of seeing what he said was a little girl ghost.

One security guard claimed to have seen an indian chief in full head dress sitting on a white horse in one of the buildings.

I just see shadow people.

I keep asking for the succubus but so far she hasn't shown up.

It's the subtle things that scare me. I've never seen any fully clothed figures or apparitions... but that crap that you can't see is just as bad. Everyone is born with intuition.

I get what you're saying about the "shadow people". There's actually been a lot of research on that. Some think they might be time travelers and you just get a quick glimpse. I will have to go through my bookmarks at home and find that link for you. It's more interesting than what I'm making it here.

As for your succubus summoning... there's a ritual for that, too. Ghost Adventures was investigating the Ancient Ram Inn in Gloucestershire, England. The Priestess on the show summoned a succubus and it crawled in between one of the investigators legs (he was lying on the floor for ritual).
