Does that question need an answer?

No. In hindsight I see it should have been a statement.

I would say I need more sex than your average 45-year old. Is there a problem?

The problem it seems would be on your end, needing and finding are two entirely different things.

I did look at the offers but the teaser terms suck. I am looking into a descrambler the actual dish is cheap. I can get one for 150-200.00 I only have basic cable, I kinda hate television anyways and net flix fills any gaps.

Monthly.

Jesus, I'm going to call them. We have all the extra channels (HBO etc.) but still. Everything in California is overpriced but that's ridiculous. There's got to be a cheaper alternative.

Username, I agree about California prices but I get Time Warner Cable out of San Diego and I am not in the same price range as you. You might want to think about switching.

I'm going to take Dick's suggestion and try to unbundle. That way, I could keep Comcast as my internet provider (and retain my email address) but I'll shop around for phone and t.v. service. I was just looking online and there are several companies to choose from...Direct tv, Dish, att&t and the individual prices they're advertising do appear to be a lot less than what I'm paying for the bundled service.

Thanks for the thread, Duchess!

And thanks for the unbundle suggestion, dickie.

Comcast is expensive, but it rarely is out of service. I must be connected. The TV is my teat.

I finally dropped my landline. Everyone here has a cell, so I didn't see the point. I still use the number, though, to enter for everything that requires a phone number. They have my email, fuck 'em. Don't call Cracker. Hates it.

This Fios system has 1 router with 4 ports and a network switch with an additional 4 ports, that I hard wire the computers into. The wifi can be used for laptops and portable devices like cells that switch from using cell tower tower signals while at home and the kindle from Amazon. It also supports voip service but sometimes the delivery of signal is so uneven it can break up your listening into garbled words. One would think that a speed rated at 25MB/s Down / 25 MB/s Up, VOIP would be a breeze. I am told that positioning the voip device behind the router, before the computer instead of behind the computer would solve this.
