Nah. Not really. I think it's easier to advocate for pulling the trigger when you're a senator or congressperson. I'm not sure if he'd be as quick if he were commander in chief.

I just find the waffling amusing between both parties. Go in! No, don't go in! You're not going in fast enough! (huh, that sounded kinda sexual...). We should never have gone there!!

Years ago Iraq and Iran were going hot and heavy at it keeping each other at bay. We should have just pushed them closer together in hindsite.

I still think we should just push them closer together, they are barbarians and would keel each other.

Not Iran and Iraq but a few other ones like syria and Libya

I was listening to a former CIA operative yesterday, who says, not only does Israel face the prospect of a nuclear Iran, but both Hamas and Hezbollah are much better armed than they've ever been (courtesy of Iran).

I agree with Maggot. It's just a matter of time (days, months) before Israel reaches a 'point of no return' time where they've either got to try and destroy any nukes the Iranians have, or simply hope they don't use them.

As one of Israel's most ardent allies, we'd naturally have to become involved. I just hope actual nukes are not used in the conflict.

The CIA operative was also saying it wouldn't be just one simple mission where several planes fly at night, deliver ordnance, and leave. It would be a sustained mission, meaning several days, weeks, etc. of sorties. This would be quite a dangerous undertaking, and would certainly bring other players into the mix.

I hope this scenario never plays out, and we can all look back in a year and laugh about 'what might have been'.

It has to play out, Iran cannot become the super power of the middle east, everyone knows that including Iran even though they want to be really bad.

A war will be fought there and it will be before Iran has a nuke which in essence will make it a conventional war, if there is such a thing today.

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

None the less I see a serious release of radioactive materials and a possible catastrophe like Chernobyll. I assume the fissionable materials are there and are vulnerable to conventional bombs and bunker busters. I wonder if the bombs can be delivered by drones or must sorties be flown to accomplish the objective?

if the material is where it is suspected to be it will be buried underground after the attacks.

power supply first and then the labs then command and control stations for the military or all of this simultaneously.

The wardrum has been beating too long over Iran for nothing to happen, its inevitible that there is going to be conflict of some kind, I just hope it doesn't snowball into something bigger with the likes of Russia and China getting involved.
We need to punish the French, ignore the Germans and forgive the Russians - Condoleezza Rice.

This is my major concern as well.

Isn't Russia a major supplier of arms to Iran? If so, I think it'll be difficult for them to stay on the sidelines.

I believe there will be many, many manned missions. Casualties, too.

"The White House artfully pushed back Thursday on a report in an Israeli newspaper that claimed the U.S. offered Israel high-tech weaponry like bunker-busting bombs and refueling planes in exchange for a pledge to hold off on attacking Iran until 2013."

The president is denying it, but he is a fucking lying piece of shit. You are a fucking idiot if you vote for someone like him AGAIN to lead this country.

ALL HE CARES ABOUT IS RE-ELECTION. Time to wake up and stop pretending he isn't the most obvious self-serving politician we have ever had in charge. Get him out of there.

Wait, Dick said Obama would push for war because a sitting President in the midst of war almost always gets re-elected.

I wish you Refiblicans could get your stories straight.

I ask again...do you think the U.S. ought to intervene militarily, right now, in Iran?

Do you not notice that Republicans are joyfully watching the increase in gas prices and using it to their benefit? They'd do back-flips if the unemployment rate increased further and the economy dived. The better to get them elected.

Hy-po-crites.

My federal income taxes won't increase and in fact, they might go down. But I might lose my mortgage interest deduction. And I might not get as much social security/medi-care benefits becuz I think they're proposing cutting entitlements on us wealthy folks.

Truth is, nothing will radically change in my life if Obama is defeated. It's nice to know that no matter what the guberment does we'll be okay (because we don't depend on it).
