HhhMmmmmm. I might be missing something but it's not unusual for things to go right over my head.

I'm exactly the height I wanted to become when I was a child. (5' 10 1/2") If I had known my cohorts would be so tall I'd have aimed higher. I just wanted to be tall enough to see over peoples' heads.

I wouldn't fault most women for how they select mates except they have a little tendency to select "bad boys". "Mischievous" or "playful" is understandable. But, again, this seems to be largely an American thing rather than inate.

I'm not complaining about women (except, perhaps, that they are so mysterious and incomprehensible).

From my experience, the young ones didn't really seem to care how smart I was, just as long as I had a 'quarterback's body' and was kind of cute.

Those were some good years for me until I got married at 26.

After the divo, and having about 3 years to enter the playing field again, this time in my mid-30's, women became more complicated.

Unfortunately, I no longer got by with just charm and looks.

However, I've never been under the impression that women/my wife want someone dumb. I don't believe that.

Now, do they want a guy who'll let them win every argument? Maybe.

Women want to feel appreciated and not taken for granted. They also want to be romanced. It's tough making a relationship work, because we're all busy and in many instances, there are children in the middle.

We're all unique individuals and co-habitating with someone else is almost a job in itself.

What I infer from the posts HERE is that most unattached mockers are divorcees which puts them squarely in the "loser" class of damaged goods.

I'm an event organizer for a local meetup group and exposed to the whole gamut. The divorcees stand out starkly as bitter failures FOR THE MOST PART.

I had almost 50 years of a terrific marriage. It has taken me over two years to discover that divorce is denied by each party as the other's "fault."

There are exceptions, but damned few.

My present lady is a widow and it's even her requirement (based on experience) that divorcees are best relegated to the scrap heap which is what they created from their failed marriages to begin with.
