When we finally do head out into open space and find another habital planet it's going to be covered with chickens. Which is fine. I eat a lot of eggs. Or chicken children as I like to think of them.

Lots of octopus dishes.
The best: takoyaki is breaded and grilled or fried octopus with a really good sauce.
The worst: octopus ice cream.

Only ate tuna eyeball once; not bad.

I think the chickens we have here are the remnant of an ancient, poorly planned expeditionary force.

The koan "Why did the chicken cross the road?" is most likely a cautionary tale who's origins lay shrouded in the remote past. Perhaps the message was a warning against crossing roads (deep space) if you aren't totally sure what you'll find on the other side (us).

Why chickens, WHY DID YOU CROSS THE ROAD?? To be completely dominated, bred and used for food? To have your children whipped into a froth and eaten for breakfast?
