What time is it there? Can you hit the shops. I start to buy Christmas stuff a little earlier. To bring the Spirit of Christmas into the house.
I might venture out today.

It's 5:00 PM Friday evening. Are you saying you're getting ready to decorate for Christmas?
10-12-2012, 05:20 PM
Yes Duch, I mean, I go all out right down to the table cloth and placemats. I don't go tacky though. I want to go and get some lovely Christmas candles and whatever else is cool. Every week little by little I just get a few things.
Too early?

I don't think it's too early to shop for the holidays & once Halloween is over I consider us to be in the holiday season. For me personally, yeah, it's early to be decorating but it's your home & you pay the bills, do whatever makes you happy, that's something I do agree with, pleasing yourself. Merry Christmas, Aussie! You fruit.

We don't really celebrate Halloween here in Oz. We don't have kids coming around saying 'trick or treat'. Maybe a few random people celebrate it, there is some pumpkins and stuff in the shops but nothing major like Christmas.
Hey, we had a birthday here this week. Part of the 'celebrations' was taking cupcakes from the cupcake shop to school. There was 24 cupcakes I took picture of it. They were fresh baked. Went down really well with the natives, apparently. Not a good shot, because it was in the box and the plastic is reflecting it. But you get the picture.

No, it's not a tourist attraction, it's a state and Hobart is the capital. There are many tourist attractions here. The zoo has Tasmanian devils that you can pat. There is nothing in the world like fresh Tasmanian seafood. Everyone has a map of Tasmania. Addit: Here's a picture of a Tasmanian devil at the zoo, this one is tame and travels with the zookeeper. You can pat him at certain times at the zoo.

They have this huge fishing industry here. There is also this Sydney to Hobart Yacht race. It goes every year on Boxing Day. I took a pic last year. Hang on I'll upload the winners. They end up in city. This is Hobart City.
