I fucking love this!!!! This is almost super hero like!!!!!

Anonymous hits Westboro Baptist Church over Sandy Hook picket plans

Hackers publish private information about church members following news that it would picket the Newtown school

The ever-hateful Westboro Baptist Church has not failed to deliver in the wake of the Newtown school massacre. The Church, notorious for picketing the funerals of fallen troops with “God Hates Fags” placards, announced Saturday that they would picket Sandy Hook elementary school, where 20 children and six adults were shot dead Friday. Tweets from the Phelps family suggest they believe the horrors in Connecticut are a punishment from God for gay marriage.

Hacker collective Anonymous was swift to respond, releasing private information of Westboro members including email addresses, phone numbers and home addresses. This video, decrying the church for spreading “seeds of hatred” was also released. It warns, “We will destroy you. We are coming.”

I hope this puts the fear of God in all of them; such a hate-based group of crazies. They are what I call Bible thumpers and other unprintable stuff. They use
selective scriptures from the Bible to justify their hate. They teach this to their children, etc. I am so sorry that they live and preach their hate in my home state. I have seen video of drivers going over the curb where they are picketing to try to whack a few of them.
Sadly, some are small children.

Hahahahahahaha!! I LOVES it! I just found the list they posted. I was about to post a small example but even though they're not our members (thank Jeebus) it's still a whole lot of p.i. so I thought better of it. Curses!

They posted it at a place called pastebin.com if you're interested though. Smiley_emoticons_fies

I'm laughing at myself. One of my few mod responsibilities is watching for p.i. and I was looking at all these wonderful names, addresses and phone numbers and I was thisclose to posting them.

Oops. Would suck to get banned for stupidity. Smiley_emoticons_slash

Well, suppose anonymous got a name wrong, I posted it here and some troll started stalking that person.

I doubt that would happen but I'm sure as hell glad I wasn't the idiot who started posting a bunch of names and addresses in Mock.

Why don't you try it?

I don't support them either, but too many people have been unfairly targeted by that Westboro CULT. It's almost Robin Hood like by Anonymous.

Wonders why Westboro Church members have not been charged with child endangerment. Those children are in danger when they are holding those signs. They are a cult. I wonder if the pastor thinks he is going to hell?

Wouldn't it be nice to just randomly charge them with something like that. However, the law is the law everywhere they go. Unless they are putting their children in harms way; there is nothing that can be done. It is sickening they are just brainwashing their kids like that.

They truly believe GOD has given them a mission. FUCKTARDS

Westboro Baptist Church Newtown Funeral Protest Thwarted By Good Samaritans
The Huffington Post | By Cavan Sieczkowski

Members of the quasi-religious group, Westboro Baptist Church, planned to gather in Connecticut to protest the funeral of Newtown, Conn., shooting victim Principal Dawn Hochsprung. However, Good Samaritans were already there to thwart any possible protest with a human wall.

The Westboro Baptist Church announced plans to picket Hochsprung's funeral on Wednesday in Woodbury, Conn., and "sing praise to God for the glory of his work in executing his judgment." The group has blamed the mass shooting on Connecticut's same-sex marriage legislation. On Dec. 14, 26 people were shot at Sandy Hook Elementary School, 20 of those victims included children ages 6 and 7.

Motorcylists lined up on Wednesday to protest the possible protesters. "All these guys see us and think we're bad. We're not. It's solidarity, is what it is," New York native Jim Hannigan told Newtown Patch. "I just felt I had to be here." More than 100 riders from New York and Massachusetts, organized by the anti-Westboro group Patriot Guard Riders, were also in Connecticut on Wednesday to show their support, Patch reported.

The hacktivist group Anonymous, which targeted Westboro after their threats to protest, tweeted that members of Westboro were staying in a Motel 6 in Connecticut on Wednesday, according to the Examiner.

“I can't put you through to those rooms,” a desk clerk at the motel told Examiner. “I wish those people weren't staying here. I hate them and what they stand for.” As part of operation #OccupyNewtown, Anonymous enlisted the help of followers to head to Connecticut to block Westboro members from protesting any of the victims' funerals, according to BetaBeat.

On the FDNY-oriented website The Bravest,* a posting asked firefighters and police officers to go to Newtown in plain clothes and block any protesters from the victims' families and friends during the funeral processions. The group Angel Action, which were ready to counter Westboro Baptist Church protests at the funerals of the Tucson, Ariz., shooting victims in 2011, created a Facebook event to gather others to protect the Newtown funerals as well.

UPDATE : At around 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, applause erupted in Woodbury when Nicole Sabel of the Women's Center of Greater Danbury made the announcement that Westboro Baptist Church members were not coming to protest at Hochsprung's service, according to Newtown Patch.

Ditto.

I can't believe LE would allow them anywhere near any of the funerals.

I haven't heard anything about them actually being in Newtown yet.

Hackers' Westboro Baptist Church Blitz Continues: UG Nazi, Jester, Anonymous Take Down Twitter Accounts, Sites
The Huffington Post
By Dominique Mosbergen

The online offensive against the Westboro Baptist Church continues to gain momentum. The Twitter accounts of two prominent members of the hate-mongering group were apparently infiltrated this week by members of the infamous hacker collective UG Nazi.

On Monday, Wired.com confirmed that 15-year-old whiz kid "Cosmo the God," a prolific member of the UG Nazi "hacktivist" group, had successfully carried out a takeover of @DearShirley, the Twitter account opened by WBC spokeswoman Shirley Lynn Phelps-Roper.

The Washington Post details the hijacking of Phelps-Roper's account:

Phelps-Roper apparently sent her last authentic tweet hours after the Sandy Hook tragedy, announcing that the controversial group planned to picket outside the funerals of Newtown victims. Cosmo broke into the account on Monday morning, changing Phelps-Roper’s background to an illustration that said “pray for Newtown” and editing her profile information. Several hours after the takeover, Twitter finally got wind of the hack and suspended Phelps-Roper's @DearShirley account. But before it did so, UG Nazi, according to Gizmodo, managed to wreak some havoc, tweeting out a link to the woman's phone number, posting a White House petition to recognize the WBC as a hate group and posting a number of tweets celebrating the account's takeover. On Thursday afternoon, Twitter had apparently restored @DearShirley, but the account hadn't yet been scrubbed of the remnants of Cosmo's romp.

The hacker group did not stop there, however.

On Wednesday evening, they set their sights on the Twitter account of Fred Phelps Jr., son of the church's vitriolic leader, Fred Phelps.

According to Wired, Cosmo and UG Nazi took over @WBCFredJR "via Phelps’ Hotmail account, which he gained entry to by forwarding the password-reset phone number on the Hotmail account to the phone number he controlled." The account was suspended some time after that; it was still unavailable on Thursday afternoon. The Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church, described as a "homophobic and anti-Semitic hate group" by the Anti-Defamation League, has gained notoriety over the years for picketing funerals of U.S. soldiers, children and AIDS victims. Previously, the group has also threatened to picket the funerals of victims of the Tucson, Ariz., shooting and memorial services after the Aurora, Colo., movie theater massacre.

This recent wave of "hacktivism" against WBC followed in the wake of vows made by the group to picket vigils and funerals planned for the victims of last Friday's Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. The hacker backlash began in full force earlier this week, when prominent hacktivist group Anonymous promised retribution and later published a list of personal information about WBC members. Anonymous also took credit for knocking a WBC website offline temporarily and for participating in the defacing of Shirley Phelps-Roper's Twitter. On Wednesday, a presumed member of Anonymous called in to the David Packman Show and vowed that Anonymous has more in store for WBC.

Like Anonymous, the UG Nazi team has said that they launched the hack offensive against WBC in retaliation for the group's threats against the Newtown community.

If "Cosmo the God" has indeed forced his way into the Twitter accounts of WBC members, the 15-year-old hacker may have put a lot on the line. Cosmo and UG Nazi were responsible for taking down the NASDAQ website, CIA.gov, and UFC.com, among other well-publicized cyberattacks in 2012. After his arrest in June, Cosmo was effectively banned from the Internet until he turns 21. He may have violated his probation if it's actually him participating in the attacks on the WBC, Gizmodo points out.

According to InformationWeek, a number of websites operated by WBC have also been downed this week this week, apparently the work of another high-profile hacker who goes by the moniker "The Jester," who in the past has launched attacks of his own against Anonymous, Wikileaks, 4chan and the Westboro Baptist Church.
