How much money is in your wallet? Just kiddin', that's too nosy but I am curious to know what you use more of, cash or credit/debit card.
I don't carry much cash, just a few bucks of "mad money" for Starbucks or places like that.

Very rarely carry more than $20 nowadays. Almost always use the debit card. However, unlike some people, I won't be at the 7-11 putting a 75ยข pack of gum on my debit card. Shit pisses me off.

No cash. Always the debit card.
Don't use the pin though, always use is as credit.

My wife and I pay everything we can on our credit card. Cell phone bill, gym membership, groceries, gas, etc.
We then pay it off every month to maximize its effeciency.
We've built our 'mileage' account back up to 137,000+. It's really our best way to purchase tix for travel.

I use my debit card for shopping, gas groceries car wash. . I keep a little cash in my wallet. I usually take out $100 and use that for lunch and misc stuff until its gone then do it again.

We have 4 CC's all but one has a zero balance (It's hooked up to the easy pass account)-most of our bills get paid online, and when we want to make a big purchase, we use cash. You can talk people down in their price when you have cash in hand.
Just 2 months ago I talked a dealer into taking $5000.00 off a brand new polaris-showed the guy a handful of Hundreds, said this was the price I was willing to pay, and that if he didn't want my money, I'd be more that happy to go on down the street. If I can't get it for the price I want to pay-I just don't buy it.

The only time I use a CC is when ordering parts online and at the gas pump. The rest of the time I use cash.

I almost always use my debit card. I don't have any CC, but my husband has one that we use for bigger purchases. I currently have $20 cash in my purse and only because my husband gave me cash to take our son out this past weekend. I normally don't have any on me.

Does your husband control the purse strings?

Nah, we actually have separate bank accounts. He pays for all the bills (house, utilities, groceries, daycare, etc) and I pay for my stuff (college loans, car, etc). He makes about 4x the amount I do. He just happened to have cash as I was leaving the house. He offered, I certainly wasn't going to say no ;-)

I never understood separate banking accounts for married couples. Whatever works for ya though. I suppose it comes in handy at times when you buy gifts for one another.

We've discussed joining but at this point it'd all be the same, he'd be paying for mostly everything either way. And yes it makes it a lot easier for gift buying. If we ever did join we'd still each have our own separate accounts. Once these babies come and I stop working we won't have any option other than joining accounts, as he'll be paying ALL the bills.
ETA: He took the extra $20 in cash back last night because he was going to see a movie with a friend.
