Oscar Pistorius was a guest on Dancing with the Stars in Italy 2012, on the video you can see how he has perfected the use of prosthetic limbs. He has done an amazing job at the Tango. He was granted so many miracles in his life his mama told him "he could do anything!" I am very sad about Reeva she just didn't know him well enough IMO.

1st Tiger Woods, then Lance Armstrong and now Oscar Pistorius. I think Nike should start telling their athletes "Just Don't Do It"
They sure know how to pick'em.

Update:
Reeva Steenkamp's funeral was held today. RIP.
June Steenkamp, Reeva Steenkamp's mother, told The Times in a front page interview published yesterday: " Why? Why my little girl? Why did this happen? Why did he do this?" "Just like that she is gone," the newspaper quoted her as saying in what it described as an emotional telephone interview. "In the blink of an eye and a single breath, the most beautiful person who ever lived is no longer here."

The prosecution came out ahead in today's bail hearing.
The judge (Nair) ruled that Pistorius will be charged with a schedule 6 crime, the severest level which includes planning and premeditation. Schedule 6 means that it is very unlikely Pistorius will be granted bail, but the hearing will continue tomorrow. The defense lawyer (Roux) submitted 5 questions to the prosecutor (Nel) which will be answered before tomorrow's hearing. The judge said depending on evidence, there is a possibility of downgrading the charges to schedule 5.
The hearings were attended by journalists and Pistorius's family; but the judge has prohibited the proceedings from being televised. The hearing will carry over to tomorrow.
Here's what the prosecutor presented today:
(not necessarily all of their evidence; just what they needed to present to have bail denied)
• The prosecution claimed this was an act of premeditated murder. Prosecutor Gerrie Nel set out a version of events in which Pistorius got up from bed, put on his prosthetic legs, armed himself, walked seven metres to the toilet door and shot Steenkamp four times; three of the shots killed her. Even if he thought she was a burglar, it was still premeditated murder, Nel said. But he asked why a burglar would lock himself in the toilet.
• Since Pistorius’s legal team wants the crime to be categorised as schedule five rather than the more serious schedule six, giving him more chance of receiving bail, a crucial question is whether the killing was “premeditated”. The prosecution argued it was. Premeditation did not have to be carried out over months, weeks or hours, Nel said, and it did not preclude feeling regret afterwards. Nel asked why Pistorius had carried Steenkamp’s body downstairs after the killing. And he questioned why Steenkamp had felt the need to lock herself in the toilet at 3am.
Here's what the Defense presented today:
• Defence lawyer Barry Roux argued that this was not premeditated murder. “This was not even murder,” he told the court. He said Pistorius thought Steenkamp was a burglar, and asked how the state knew Pistorius was aware that it was Steenkamp behind the door. He said he would lay out case after case in which husbands shot wives and fathers shot children through doors thinking they were burglars. And he suggested that Pistorius broke down the door afterwards to help Steenkamp.
• Roux said Pistorius would set out his own version of events, but not yet. But he suggested that Pistorius did not accept that he put on his prosthetic legs to get up and walk to the toilet to shoot Steenkamp, and asked rhetorically if the state had a witness who saw Pistorius do that. Roux told magistrate Desmond Nair that he did not have the facts in front of him to call this a “schedule six” crime.
Here is the recap of Pistorius's statement which was read today:
He said they went to bed and fell asleep. He woke to close a sliding door and get a fan and went out on to the balcony, he said.
At that point he heard a noise in the bathroom and felt a "sense of terror" rush through him. He was scared and didn't switch on the light. He was acutely aware of violent crime and had received death threats in the past, and had been a victim of crime in the past. For that reason he kept a 9mm pistol under the bed. He said he got his gun and moved towards the bathroom, and screamed at the "intruder" to get out of the house and for Steenkamp to call the police. He thought she was still in bed.
He did not have his prosthetic legs on, and said he felt vulnerable for both himself and Steenkamp. For that reason, he fired through the bathroom door. He then saw that Steenkamp was not in bed, he said. That was when he realised she could have been in the bathroom, he said. The bathroom door was locked. He said he went to the balcony and called for help, and then put his legs on. He opened the toilet door by smashing it with a cricket bat. Steenkamp was alive inside, slumped over. He took her to the bathroom, called paramedics and tried to carry her downstairs to get help. He tried to revive her but she died in his arms, he said.

I think Pistorius is claiming that he screamed at an "intruder" to get out of the bathroom before the shots to explain the shouting noises that the neighbors heard; same with shouting for help from the balcony. I also think that he's claiming not to have been wearing his blades and feeling "vulnerable" in attempt to show extenuating circumstances needed to get the charges reduced to schedule 5. JMO.

Both Oakley and Nike have announced that they have suspended their contracts with Pistorius.

New details reported in media (no official LE confirmation):
- Steroids recovered and removed from the home by police.
- Evidence of heavy alcohol consumption that night recovered and removed from the home.
- Since South Africa is trial by judge, more details are released to the press than in countries with trial by jury where contamination of the jury pool is a major concern (I don't consider these details as solid unless they're directly confirmed by LE).
-The trial is expected to begin between 6 months to 1 year from now.

I think it's abolished but only in the last ten years because i can think of a couple of serial killers who copped it.

No death penalty or trial by jury is South Africa. Interesting that they abolished both of these due to judgments based on race over facts. Hmmm

Maybe because both the issues had so many racial issues that it was impossible to use a jury.

They do.
Death by firing squad.
(Not too effective though.)

Thanks for the Update! its all here on Mock, I'm having trouble with Oscar and his story, he awakes and goes to the balcony, he actually goes out on the balcony, well did he crawl with his stumps or did he have his legs on? and how do you carry a fan? he had the legs on IMO. The balcony door is another yarn of his, he bloody shut door hoping no one would hear the noise, he telephoned his father first, he thought daddy could solve this one IMO So you wake up at 3 a.m. put your legs on after going out on the balcony then sliding the door shut I assume, don't forget he picks up a fan, then sheer terror comes over him a burglar is in the bathroom he is telling us, so does he crawl or walk back to the bed to get the gun, it's all lies there was no burglar IMO he really went his mile that night. I don't care if he was on steriods, these people on steriods know the side effects. I don't care if Reeva got a message on her Ipad from an another fellow, I think he was a very "angry" young man and poor Reeva suffered like hell.
