These students & their chaperones were thrown off a flight because they refused to turn off their cellphone (and sit down). That's not an unreasonable request on a flight. The chaperones didn't step in at all and now they are all saying they were asked to deplane because they are Jewish & religious. Assholes.



I have no pity for them and I believe the airline over them.

I got on a plane pissed once years ago when i was a young idiot and they threw me and my mates off before it took off and they were right to do so because we were being assholes.

What is with the whole phone thing? I sat next to a late thirty something chick the other week from Chicago to Charlotte that the attendant had to ask four times to switch her phone off. I can understand if your firstborn is giving birth or someone is dying, but she was reading Facebook ffs...it's like people are addicted to the damn things.

That pisses me off. I've been tempted more than once to reach over and rip one out of someone's hand. While I doubt it's actually dangerous, I don't want to risk it so some twat can visit FB.

It's perfectly safe. Have a buddy who flys small commercial charter flights and I've flown with him a few times. The first time I forgot to turn my phone off and it rang. I was all profusely apologetic and panicky and he was laughing at me. He told me it was fine, just answer it, not even to worry about turning it off.

He says they don't want your phone on because of passenger annoyance and that they don't want you distracted at take of and landing. Same as the window shade thing. They only want it up so you can see the ground coming and how bad the fire is that's going to burn your ass.

But rules are rules. It's their plane and if they ask you to turn the fucking thing off, then you should just turn it off already. Do people walk into other peoples houses with their shoes on if they're asked to take them off?

I've always held people accountable for their own actions but I have to say, more & more lately I'm starting to believe that the fault lies with the parents, they are the ones raising these little bastards.
