Wonder if they ^^ all ran across the street into the Shedd Aquarium or Museum of Natural History?

All is well.
They're posting pics of rainbows in the western countys. Pics of a lot of SL wind damage.

Every drop of moisture on the planet has decided to fall out of the sky above us in the past 72 hours. Wet wet fucking wet everywhere. Even the fucking Kookaburras have had enough; pair of the bastards huddled up on the handrail under the verandah this morning, waterlogged and trying to keep dry.

I hear a snowstorm is heading east for Thanksgiving.

You heard right. It looks like a nor'easter forming. Thank Christ we are only supposed to get rain. It's 25 degrees right now, yesterday the windchill didn't get out of the 20's, I fast walked everywhere I went outside.

I hate the first one, everyone is all over the place. I like going in a vacant lot and slamming on my brakes and spinning around, turning fast etc. just so I'm acclimated again.

Most of the people here don't deal with snow well at all. It sends my entire state into a freakin' panic. They go so far as to cancel the schools when a storm is in a forecast and not a flake has fallen & the news coverage of it is non-stop. I know what real snow is and it's not what we get here.

They're predicting 97-101 here for Thursday. It'll actually make a welcome change from all the rain and storms we've had in the past two weeks. Especially when the icicles start falling from the sky..
Not my pictures. They came from a guy I know that lives a little bit North of me. We didn't get hit that bad.. That coin is a fifty cent piece. It measures about 1"5/8 across the diagonal. And that's not a small apple..

Funny money! I'd be so worried about my pretty car. There's no room in the garage.

We have too many coins here; 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2. You almost need a purse rather than a wallet half the time. Not so long ago there were 1c and 2c on top of that too. I wish they'd get rid of the $2 coin and $1 coin and just reintroduce a $1 note. They could also get rid of the 5c coin and just round up or down to the nearest .10, it'd be easier all round.
