When I was a DJ for Armed Forces Radio one of the highlights of every week was receiving the 4 LP's that contained that weeks AT40. Sent to us straight from Los Angeles.

We'd play it twice every weekend as it really did represent a taste of home for all of us stationed overseas.

It was a crime to keep the albums after they were used. We had to break them at the end of each week.

Some twat from Harry Potter died in Death Valley this weekend, but it was a douchebag nobody who thought his mad MMA skillz made him tougher than the place with, you know, "death valley" right in its fucking name. One of the best ever guitarists (blues or otherwise), IMO, Johnny Winter died in Zurich yesterday. No cause of death given yet.

He was 70 and was on tour in Europe.

Actor James Garner dead at 86



Legendary actor James Garner, known for his parts in The Rockford Files and The Notebook has died, aged 86.

Entertainment website TMZ reported that an ambulance was despatched to the actor's Los Angeles home about 1pm (AEST) but he was dead when they arrived.

Garner's career spanned more than five decades, in both televison and movies.

His TV roles included Bret Maverick in the 1950s western-comedy series, Maverick, and Jim Rockford in the 1970s detective drama, The Rockford Files.
