I can't take my newfie to the dog park anymore because of that. He's scared to death of little critters, but if there's another large male dog around he starts a ferocious fight with them.
The last time was with a big German shepherd and then 5 other dogs jumped in the fight. It was big dog fight pile up. Some guy is screaming at me to get my fucking dog, yeah right like I'm going to get in the middle of that. And then there's some other crazy lady screaming call 911, call 911. Jesus Christ . That's the last time I ever go back to that fucking place.
Oh and then after the fight was broke up the guy starts yelling at me that my dog was the one who started this whole mess. He's a fucking dog, not a human. What do you want me to do, put him in time out.

The owners fought longer than their stupid dogs. I initially profiled the pit bull that was involved but I think both dogs deserved a time out. The pit bull would not leave this other, mixed breed dog alone. I've gotten pissed at owners that let their dog jump on mine, chase her and/or try to hump her endlessly so I get how annoying that can be. On the other hand, it was the mixed breed that finally had enough and threw down on the pit bull and it wasn't just a little warning snap (which is what my dog usually does).
Bad dogs. Bad, bad dogs. I avoided the place for a long time too but as I posted elsewhere, they leave my old lady dog alone now.

I thought the guy was going to beat me up. He had his hands up in a fist as he was yelling at me, so I said I suppose it's my dog's fault too that the other dogs jumped in. He said "welp everyone was doing just fine until your stupid dog showed up". LMAO.

We went to the dog park today. The spirit is willing but the body is weak. Getting older sucks. Your stupid body betrays you.

Labs are always happy & smiling.
Sometimes I think about getting another dog. If I could be assured it would be like my first 2 beagles I would do it in a nano second.

Mother fucking ouch!
I think Sally gave me her brain tumor.

These types of headaches are described as throbbing, stabbing, shock-like or jabbing pain on one side of the head. Some people also note scalp tenderness and sensitivity to light. This headache can be severe in character but is not life threatening.

Now that you mention it I'm not sure why that park is so green. We got a little rain a few days ago but it was wet when we went there yesterday. They gotta be watering it while they ask homeowners to let their yards die...assholes.

My dog is the biggest sook. When I had a maltese many years ago now, her name was Milicent (Milie) She was so cute, everyone loved her, even though she was a huggy sort of dog, always picked up and kissed and got to sleep on the bed. Pinky on the other hand is a different child, she loves her cuddles and kisses my little one calls it "puppy love". Pinky is like this big child, and she loves her Mummy, wherever I go Pinky follows. There is a heavy feminine energy in this house. I do love my Pinky, but sometimes she is handful. I should post a pic, but I am so busy at the moment.
Duch, get a rescue dog, just like that ebola nurse in Texas. It will give you a stronger bond and communication because you will save them from whatever happened to them. I am amazed at how intelligent and loving Pinky is, she loves hugs and kisses. even though Pinky is much bigger than Millie
And when you are sick they know and stick close to you. If we got another dog, it would be a rescue dog.

If I did decide to get another dog that would be an option I would consider. I'm an advocate for rescues, particularly retired racehorses.

But you can't keep a horse in your house, that's unless you decide to live in a barn.

One of my greatest desires is to buy a piece of shit barn I've had my eye on for a few years and design and remodel it into a custom home. Yeah, bay bay.

I find people who have dogs (not abused ones) shows someone who is caring or has a caring aspect to their personality. It's a kindness to be loving and take care of a dog. I like dog people. I had a boyfriend once that loved cats and I just thought "what a sissy".

There was a time I thought that too but I've since learned differently.

I am Dog Mother of the Year!!!
Not really but I took mine to the vet today and signed her up for everything they suggested. Her gait problems recently do appear to be arthritis but they have an injectable (<----- I can't figure out why that word is underlined in red on my 'puter...) medication that can actually help repair the joints and prevent further deterioration. I'm going to be giving her shots in the butt twice a week for the next 4 weeks and then once a month thereafter. I'm happy they had something besides pain medicines etc. that can help her. They expect I'll see marked improvement after about 4 shots.

Ya'll know that scary feeling when you're stopped in traffic and you look up in your review mirror and see a car barreling towards you? Then that car has to slam on their brakes and go into the grassy median so as not to slam into my car? Yea that happened this morning. PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE!!!!

I hate that feeling Kitten. Especially when I am on my bike. That may be because in 1982 I was sitting at a stop light two days before Christmas, in OKC and some idiot slammed into the back of my bike. I flipped over the back of the bike, across the hood of his car, off his windshield and onto the pavement right next to his drivers door. Then the idiot rolls down his window looks down at me laying on the ground and says, you ok man? Then hits the gas and takes off. Needless to say I was late to work that day.

Many many years ago, I used to take my Bug into my local gas station to have the drum brakes adjusted. They were not self adjusting. Anyway I watched how easy it was, so the next time the brakes needed adjusting, I decided to adjust them myself. OK done, it was easy. Next morning I went on my 46 mile commute to work, and after about 40 miles on the highway and going around 60 mph, all of a sudden the traffic ahead was at a dead stop a quarter mile down in all lanes. I hit the brake peddle and it went down to the floor, not even slowing the car at all.
My life flashed in front of my eyes, so all I could do was to go up onto the grass median, buzzing by maybe 20 cars, before eventually slowing to a stop.
I adjusted the brakes snuggly against the drums as I saw the mechanic do, but I didn't notice him back the adjuster star off one click. Therefore, the brake pads road hard against the drums all the time, and overheated, thus causing the brakes to float and not stop the car. After the brakes cooled down, I drove slowly to the nearest mechanic and had them readjusted.
Lesson learned the hard way.
