Have any of you seen anything about this subject? I live in the country so we don't have curbs or sidewalks to paint a blue stripe on.

I haven't seen the lines, but they better not paint one in front of my house. My few experiences with cops coming to my house is they're more trouble than good. The last time was when the neighbor's house was broken into and he looked at a beer bottle sitting on my front porch and said it looks like someone has been drinking around here. Yeah so, you fat fuck.

Preaching to the choir sista. As a long haired Biker I have seen for decades just how few good cops there are.

I admire your restraint in not responding by looking at his belly and saying 'yeah, well, looks like SOMEONE has been eating a lot of donuts lately'.
I haven't seen any such lines either.
I treat officers with respect if I come across them, but I don't invite them or give them cause to hover around my house.

That would have been good, but then he probably would have arrested me instead of worrying about who broke into the neighbors house.

I haven't seen it around here. I don't personally care if people do it or not. However, they should not be "backing up" the police. That's always going to lead to a problem.

Aren't blue lines typically indicating where handicapped people can park?

I agree Kitten. Its all good in theory until some Joe Citizen walks out the door with his Ar-15 to back up the cop. Then one of two things will happen. 1 the cop spots Joe and caps his ass because he is holding a rifle. Or 2 Joe pops bad guy and gets charged for attempted murder. I say screw that.

How convenient, be sure to say hi to Harry and Roz for me. And Dan too. Which I've never thought about it until now that he reminds me of MS.

No, he was the lawyer that always flirted with Markie Post. Come on, you people never watched Night Court?

Dan was the man. John Larroquette played him. Small trivia fact... John Larroquette is the narrator voice in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Loved that show. Probably jerked it to Markie Post's big jugs a few times back in the day.

Ok, John Larroquette (sp?).
He was Captain Steelman in 'Stripes'. Perving out watching the women shower in one of the scenes.
Yes, I can see why he'd remind you of me.

I liked Night Court too (and WKRP in Cincinnati).
Here's another bit of trivia about the show.
One of my favorite classic juke box songs back in my dart-playing days was was Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights".
Ellen Foley ^, who's the great female vocalist on the record, later played the female lead, Billie, on Night Court for the first season.
I love Ellen's voice (she's sung for a lot of great bands and released a few solo albums), but I liked Markie Post better as the female lead on Night Court.
I'm a driveling...
