Are you looking at mass shooting "events" or is 30 dead in one shooting count as 1? The body count doesn't matter or does it. Do you count criminals killing criminals in that? Or does it matter. Does the killings of a bunch of "bad" guys count?

In plain English - there have been 353 separate mass shooting events (defined as 4 or more victims - killed or wounded) this year in the US. Thirty dead in one mass shooting is counted as one mass shooting. If a bad guy shoots four bad guys, that's one mass shooting. I think you're missing the point somewhat. In Oz, we've had NO mass shootings, of ANY description since 1996. None, nil, nada, zip, zero, sweet fuck all.
If you like, I'll ring around and see what each of the shooters had for breakfast

If you think what works in a border-less, homogeneous (92% white, 7% Asian), commonwealth with <2% military spending will work in a democracy with more than 1000% higher population, more than double the spending, and much more heterogeneous population...
Well. I'm glad you're not deciding policy.
But you're busy finding out what all 8 people who live down under had for breakfast.

You patronising git. What the fuck has any of that "data" got to do with the issue? We decided not to shoot each other, Americans didn't.
Do you have a solution to the problem? Do you even think there is a problem?

I think murder is a problem, yes.
I have the perfect solution. We can send all of our criminals to live on an island. It can be a nation of criminals. Dirty, self-righteous, haughty criminals that pretend they never hurt anyone but wonder what happened to all the indigenous people.
And for the record, I choose not to shoot everyone every day. Where's my medal?

Got a chip on your shoulder about Aussies then? You do, of course, realise that the only reason Australia became a penal colony is because England couldn't send them to America anymore? Something about a pesky revolution.

Just send them to Guantanamo with your terrorists, suspected terrorists and anyone else you need to keep quiet for a while. Just pretend it doesn't happen. It's working ok for y'all so far.

Kinda suspecting you right now...
I've never had a grudge against people who hail from the Commonwealth of Australia. Some fine folks I've met living down there. Kinda odd wanting to live with 8 of the deadliest creatures on earth, but to each his own.

I usually catch and release using a coffee jar. I used a salad bowl for this one, the jar wasn't big enough

I stepped on a big, fat tick the other night in my bare feet. I felt it pop and I couldn't bring myself to look at what it was, I asked someone else to.
