Today is the start of the 2017 season. I always have hope for my team. I hope this isn't the peak of it. That's just a tiny bit of sarcasm.

I used to tell my friend Bob that I aspired to be more like him when it came to being gracious to other teams. I happen to view them all as the opposition but in the spirit of Bob I want to wish you all good luck with your team this year. One of you don't need it, you know who you are but nonetheless, good luck.

It'll be okay, just think about all the asterisks next to their accomplishments. They'll never get away from the cheating comments.

What's your opinion of Alshon Jeffery?

Jeffrey averaged 15 yards per catch and about 800 yards per season in his 2 seasons with the bears.

Not too shabby, huh. Not at all, and Torrey Smith's stats are right there too.

That's such a relief to read, BG.

Does Carson have to wait until the team gets together to meet these new receivers or can he do something on his own with them. Can he get a head start in developing some chemistry with them?

If we can land AJ Bouye, our defensive backfield will be in much better shape. Last I heard Howie was pulling out all the stops to get him.

What's your opinion of Alshon Jeffery?
I'll tell you what, when Da Bears had Alshon and Brandon Marshall with the 'good' Jay Cutler they were tough to beat.

Alshon is big and physical, the only knock on giving him the big bucks, is his health history.

Alshon is big and physical, the only knock on giving him the big bucks, is his health history. That's likely why we only gave him a 1 year contract.

Didn't realize it was just one year.

Best case scenario for you.

He'll play all year for his next contract.
