I know that no matter what Trump does it will never be good enough, but that's their normal. I wonder what has Trump done to ruin this country? If he thanks someone he's the devil if he doesn't he's the devil.

Thank you for saying that.
Some people get pissy with me & then I don't want to play with them anymore. I don't want to play with people who get mad so I take my balls and look for other people to play with.

A friend of a Georgia woman who was shot and killed on Sept. 25 said the woman’s husband had placed the gun in his lap as they drove through Atlanta, because they feared Black Lives Matter protests.
63-year-old Diane McIver was the president of Corey Airport Services, a marketing company based in Atlanta. McIver’s company is known for its 300-foot billboard in the downtown area. She worked with the company for 43 years.
McIver’s husband, Claud “Tex” McIver (a well known Atlanta-based attorney) was directly behind her, in the backseat as Diane’s best friend drove.
Bill Crane, who is friends with the McIvers, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the couple retrieved their gun from the center console because they feared a carjacking amid recent Black Lives Matter protests. When they hit a bump in the road, Crane claims the gun held by Tex accidentally went off, striking and killing his wife.
Atlanta Police, however, told the paper the shooting “more complicated” than Crane’s account, but they wouldn’t elaborate. The case is being investigated as a homicide, but no charges have been filed.
Atlanta Police Sgt. Warren Pickard told the paper Crane “wasn’t in the car, so he is not a witness to what happened. We are going to wait and see what all the witnesses have to say.”
Though Crane, who has acted as a spokesperson for the McIver family, told the newspaper the gun went off when the car hit a bump, he previously told WGCL that Claud McIver was removing the gun from a plastic bag when it was accidentally discharged.

I'm curious to learn more about this strange case.
UPDATE:
Tex McIver's story never made sense to me.
After learning that he was asking about how to get his hands on his wife's Social Security benefits within hours of shooting her to death in the car...........it seemed even less plausible that it was the "accident" he claimed it to be.
McIver was found guilty of felony murder last week and will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Good! I really hope anyone taking advantage of civil unrest to commit murder and other crimes get the lock up and the key tossed in the gutter. It's never an excuse. Or an alibi.

There's been another school shooting, this time in Texas. It's being reported that 8 have been killed but it's still early with very limited details so take that number with a grain of salt.

Broken Record Bullshit
After the Parkland, Florida shooting back in February, President Trump told the country that he would push for stricter background checks and raising the minimum age for buying an assault weapon to 21. He went so far as to tell Senator Feinstein to include a ban on assault rifles in her proposal as well. He also said he favored taking guns away from potentially dangerous people without due process.
While Florida state enacted some new gun safety/control measures following the Parkland school massacre, Trump did zero at the federal level. Earlier this month, in fact, he spoke at an NRA conference and spewed the stale "gun grabbers wanna take away your second amendment rights, but Trump will never take your guns away" and paranoid rhetoric that feeds the right wing and is music to his extremist base's ears.
With at least 10 people dead in today's high school shooting in Santa Fe, Texas, Trump is once again promising to take action. Sure thing. By next week, he'll likely be saying something completely opposite to please HIS voters again.

I would prefer it if all politicians simply refrained from saying anything at all rather than crap like that ^^^^^^ or the thoughts & prayers bullshit. It's disingenuous and a slap in the face to every rational person listening.

This Parkland survivor/teen turned activist irritates the shit out of the disingenuous gun lovers, the NRA, and the NRA-owned politicians.
I think he's largely right.

"I heard really loud booms, and I didn't know what they were at first," a Santa Fe High School survivor named Paige told ABC, saying she realized what the sounds were after she heard students screaming.
Paige said she and others took shelter in an area behind a stage after being told to wait before trying to leave immediately. The student said that she and others had trouble staying calm but that there was not a moment when she felt like what was happening wasn't real.
"It's been happening everywhere," Paige said. "I always felt like eventually it would happen here. I wasn't surprised, I was just scared." < -- sad reality.
How long will it take for the NRA, paranoid second amendment fanatics, and conspiracy theorists to go after this girl, claiming she's a crisis actor and the shooting was just an act staged by the left?

Do any of these retarded rednecks realize that if the government really wanted to take over it doesn't matter how many assault weapons you have. What are you going to do with them if the goverment really wanted to take you out, not a damn thing. Nobody does anything with them except let them get in the wrong hands of some crazy bastard who doesn't give a shit and wants to kill a bunch of people. That's the only thing they're useful for.

Now I read it was only a shotgun and revolver that he took from his dad. Meh, nothing you can do about it. Fuck it, just don't send your kids to school anymore.

I just heard this and I feel like I must have misunderstood, because surely this can't be true - I heard that in Texas a 17 yr. old can have a gun, shoot a gun, etc., what he can't do is get that gun from a licensed dealer but it would be okay if he bought it from the guy across the street. I misunderstood, right?

The government can’t tell adults they don’t have a right to bear arms if they have kids in the house, even troubled kids.
But, the government can and should require adults to effectively lock up their guns. Still, not all states require such common sense gun safety measures.
Even in states where locking up guns isn’t currently the law, adults can and should be charged immediately with felony child endangerment if a juvenile gets ahold of their guns and uses them against others.
If it’s shown the guns were left readily accessible, a conviction should carry a minimum 10 year sentence, no probation and no parole, in my opinion. THAT might just make a difference.
It would have to be made into law at the federal level though. Sadly, however, virtually all of the Republican Congress is (currently) owned by the NRA and by the single issue gun-loving voters who always show up at the polls. We need to vote those fuckers out of office.
There’s no way the state of Texas or other gun-heavy states would hold adult gun owners responsible for control of their own firearms if it’s not mandated by federal law — no matter how many of their kids get murdered for attending school.
Anyway, I hope to see charges brought against the Santa Fe shooter’s father very quickly. But, I’m not holding my breath.
