The truth of the matter is America has a trade imbalance, we need to fix that. If he pissses a few people off and looks like an asshole doing it well so be it.

It's been going on since 75 and getting worse each year. Other countries are just surprised it hasn't happened sooner. The next big to do will be leftists claiming Trump does not include the "service" sector. Germany is number 3 with imbalance after China and Japan and it's no wonder Merkel is the most outspoken against any talk. I'm glad they are going home to take Trumps thoughts under advisement. He does not draw lines in the sand, what he does do is shoot for the moon then meets them halfway, the media knows this but still tosses mad cow headlines out into the unwashed masses to feed on.
I think it's great watching the custodians of rainbows and unicorns clutching their pearls in rabid rapture for the next Trump adventure, waiting for the opportunity to try and skin him alive. It never works though and that pleases me.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Trade deficit is not a sign of a problem if every country is benefiting. As the biggest economic (and capitalist) market, the U.S. would naturally be importing a lot from countries where goods and materials can be produced much more cheaply than here. There may be some categories of imported goods and materials for which U.S. consumers would be willing to pay higher prices for domestically-produced ones in order to keep/create jobs here. I don't object to President Trump or anyone else renegotiating trade agreements in those cases. And, if the U.S is being hosed by some countries in some categories by protectionist tariffs, it's reasonable to look into renegotiating those terms. As for China, I think Trump was right before he flip-flopped; they've benefitted immensely trade-wise over the last 20 years via currency manipulation. So, while I can support revisiting the current trade terms & policies and hope for good outcomes, I'm certainly not required to be a cheerleader for the dumb reality show tactics being employed by Trump and company in the process. Our allies and other countries buy a shitload of goods (and even more services) from the U.S., and some of them have laid down their citizens' lives to support U.S. missions, time and time again. The President and other negotiators don't need to be complete assholes by publicly humiliating them in order to address trade issues. That authoritarian 'biggest bully on the block' type bullshit has the potential to jeopardize important relationships. Acting like outraged innocent victims (ie Trump and Kudlow today) when an ally that's been publicly attacked by the U.S. actually defends itself publicly is even worse. Those hypocritical dramatic tactics employed by this administration serve no purpose other than to drum-up or rile-up support from certain American citizens. I'd rather see more diplomacy and informed professionalism (which does not equate to 'weakness').

Trump is only successful to the especially gullible who believe the bullshit being sold to you on a slice of pure white bread.

That just shows you are so blinded by your hatred and disgust all rationality has flown out the window.

You're going to have to come up with a better argument than that, it's the very same one every single person who supports this bullshit uses, everyone who disagrees with trump is blinded by their hate, it simply isn't true.

Justify turned down an invite to the White House. When asked why, the Triple Crown winner said, "if I wanted to see a horse's ass I would've finished second."

This is from Steve Schmidt, a Republican - TRUMP disgraced the Presidency and the United States at the G-7 summit. From his slovenly appearance to his unpreparedness, ignorance and arrogance, he beclowned himself. The Republican majority is filled with cowards who are servile supplicants to the most unfit POTUS ever I agree.

Beclowned.
I’ve been waiting for a new favorite word. I think I’ve found it.

I'd rather be beclowned than beheaded.

Our country is built and predicated on certain guaranteed rights as written into our constitution and bill of rights. We've set them down for posterity, to be followed by succeeding generations. Trump and his fellow would-be despots are dismantling those freedoms as we speak. We fought literal wars, several of them, in order to protect the right to assemble. The right to free speech, the right to a free press, and the integral rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And aside from the right to bear arms, every one of these rights is being systematically attacked and destroyed while you fucking idiots clap because he appeals to your xenophobic tendencies and race-based fears. The foolishness comes from your belief that he'll leave your rights and livelihoods alone while he destroys those of the people who you don't resemble or support. Dictators oppress everyone. Everyone. And the coming isolation, the coming explosive inflation, the coming upheaval in our relatively stable republic...all of these things will affect you just as much as they do the rest of us. That's the part you fail to understand. It ain't just libtards and snowflakes who are fucked. Hope you can eat your MAGA hat or burn it for fuel.

Trump looked like a sullen toddler on the verge of a temper tantrum in every photo at the G7 summit. I am absolutely amazed how his cult can justify his behavior in what should have been an easy diplomatic visit with our once closest allies. Now I'm seeing someone (the Florida governor?) suggest a wall along the Canada border. Jesus Christ.

Mock is a lot like the world as far as opinions of trump go. Some like him, some don't, some are indifferent. I loathe the muthafucka. I don't know if the G7 was the most embarrassing but it sure ranked near the top.

I'll have to check, I saw it in passing on twitter and didn't get a chance to read it before I had a rage stroke.
Thank you Duchess. I haven't liked "The Donald" since he first came into my consciousness sometime in the 90s, I think and I like him even less now.

Like when they say Trump became "combative" when he disagreed with a lefty or when he "snatched" something instead of saying he "disagreed" or "picked up" something. Adjectives used to enhance the narrative. Most Americans can see through that and everyone thinks they're a bunch of belligerent children still bitching about the outcome of the election. It will be their downfall in the mid-terms, look at Pelosi or even that fruitcake De Niro, they all have something in common. nearsightedness. That and they are getting very desperate. Oh well, they certainly didn't learn anything from the last election.
