Maybe I shouldn't have called her a cunt but when I see unfairness in life it always sets my ass on fire. I believe in equality in all things. One rule for all. I don't want her treated differently because she's white & a cop.

Hey, she might be a cunt.
I wanna know why the narrative is changing.
First the door was unlocked so she thought her key had successfully unlocked her own apartment door.
Now, court docs show she says the front door was ajar, she yelled verbal commands which weren't followed, so she shot in the dark and killed an innocent man in his own home.
It doesn't make sense to me. If she was just tired and discovered the door was ajar, I think she'd say WTF, look around, and then realize she was at the wrong apartment. Oops -- no harm, no foul.
I don't think a rational or unimpaired person, cop or not, would immediately start yelling and shooting in the dark like Guyger did.
I won't be surprised if it turns out Guyger was amped up on drugs when she got home that night.

In the dark "shots" were fired, who goes into supposedly their own apartment and doesn't turn on the lights first thing?
There is more to Guyer's ever changing story then what she is currently saying! Time will tell.

I'm glad Botham's mom, her attorney and his loved ones are speaking up and demanding REAL answers.
They did not accept the first account on blind faith. They did not like the fact that Guyger wasn't arrested for days, so she and the PD had three days to discuss (and possibly craft/edit) her version of events.
The fact that the latest narrative claims that Botham didn't follow Guyger's verbals commands so she felt she had to shoot is such transparent fucking bullshit to bolster a false claim of stand your ground or self defense, in my opinion. Blaming the innocent victim for his own death.
Guyger shot an unarmed man in his own home without justification. Period.
Anyway, if it was dark and that's why she didn't know she was in the wrong apartment when she started shooting, how could she tell Botham wasn't following her commands?

None of it makes sense. And how did she not see the bright red door mat, if her story is true then she must have been completely intoxicated.

In checking out the reader comments attached to the linked articles, I've seen several who share MS's theory that Guyger might have had a relationship or been rebuffed by Botham. It's possible, but I still think that's a long shot.
I read another reader comment that hit home with me. The commenter speculated that Guyger lost her shit and killed Botham because of noise. She lived directly one floor below him.
When I first moved to the city, I lived on the third floor. Alone. I'm not heavy and worked all the time in San Jose back then. STILL, the guy in the apartment below me always complained about me walking around, playing music (low), running my dishwasher on the weekend.....you know, being alive basically.
He was a nutjob and pounded on my door and screamed at me several times when highly intoxicated. I think he was pissed enough to shoot me if he'd had a gun one of those times.
I'm not saying the noise theory is the mostly likely one, but it's a possibility I hadn't considered.

It's weird that you feel compelled to interject racially-based disrespect and stereotypes towards a murder victim who worked hard to get an education, had a good job, was deeply involved in his church, was beloved by his family and friends, and whom the mayor called 'a model citizen' Mags. It says way more about you than it does about the victim, his killer, or the case.

Well, if I end up in a shitty situation like that at a client's house, I sure won't shoot the patient in his/her home and lie about it.
This case with Amber Guyger is smelling more and more like total cover-your-ass bullshit for a major off-duty fuck-up by a Dallas PD cop.
Officer Guyger, the undisputed killer, should not be afforded any more favorable treatment than any other citizen would be after breaking into an innocent neighbor's home and shooting him dead. She was nothing but an apartment-dwelling citizen when she took his life.
Updates:
1. Neighbors report (and demonstrate via video), that the second version of events doesn't make any more sense than Amber Guyger's first version.
According to the neighbors, it's impossible that Botham Jean's door was opened with the wrong electronically-coded key (Guyger's first claim). And, it's impossible that Botham's door was left ajar (Guyger's second claim) because the heavy safety doors automatically slam shut.
2. Also, according to the article linked below, it's been confirmed that Amber Guyger complained about noise from the apartment directly above her previously and on the morning she killed Botham Jean.

People are protesting and I don't blame them one fucking bit.
Some basic questions really need to be answered.
--Where inside his own apartment was Botham Jean shot dead? Was it right near the door?
--Isn't there surveillance video in the new upscale apartment complex? Is there footage that proves Guyger didn't go to her own apartment before heading to Botham's apartment that night?
--What was Guyger's demeanor when she approached Botham's apartment? Was she screaming and banging on the door (as one of the neighbors reported)?
--Why does the dispatch recording show that first responders (fire fighter EMTs) were under the impression Botham was shot by a security guard at the apartment complex? Is that what Guyger or her fellow officers told them from the get-go to plant the seed that Botham must have done something wrong to end up dead?
--Why did the Dallas PD initially handle the incident as an officer-involved shooting, as though killer Guyger was on duty and responding to a complaint at the time?
I really hope that the Texas Rangers are exploring every angle to get to the truth and are sincerely interested in justice for Botham, no matter where the evidence leads.

Texas -- Border Patrol Supervisor / Alleged Serial Killer
Juan David Ortiz, 35, is an intel supervisor for the Border Patrol. He allegedly kidnapped a woman who escaped and went to police.
Police have since tied Ortiz to the murders of four female sex workers.
Sheriff Martin Cuellar said investigators have "very strong evidence" that he is responsible for the deaths of the four women.
"We do consider this to be a serial killer," said Webb County District Attorney Isidro Alaniz.
Ortiz is being held on $2.5 million bail. Authorities plan to charge Ortiz with four counts of murder and one count of aggravated kidnapping, Alaniz said.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Border Patrol, and the Department of Homeland Security Office of the Inspector General are all reportedly fully cooperating with investigators.
LE has not released details on the deaths of the four victims, but a press conference will be held tomorrow, Monday Sept. 17 th.

^ Ortiz is a real piece of shit who abused his power in the worst way. He reportedly killed 4 women in 10 days.
Snip:
It all began with the discovery Sept. 4 of the body of 29-year-old Melissa Ramirez.
According to a police affidavit, Ortiz said he killed Ramirez a day earlier. Like the other victims, Ramirez was shot in the head and left in a road in rural northwest Webb County. She was a mother of two.
A second victim, 42-year-old Claudine Anne Luera, was found shot and left in the road Thursday morning, badly injured but still alive, according to the affidavit. The mother of five died at a hospital later that day.
On Friday, Ortiz picked up a woman named Erika Pena. She told police she struggled with Ortiz inside his truck, where he pointed a pistol at her, but that she was able to flee. She made it to a gas station where she found a state trooper whom she asked for help.
According to the affidavit, Ortiz told investigators that after Pena ran off, he picked up his last two victims, whose identities have not yet been released by authorities.
Ortiz is jailed on $2.5 million bond. LE says investigators are still working to determine a motive. Two of the victims were U.S. citizens. The nationalities of the other two are not yet known.

Trial Begins in LaQuan McDonald Shooting Death
I consider this one of the worst case of police brutality, unnecessary use of force, and police cover-up I've followed. The story is referenced way up thread and went down in Chicago in 2014.
The dashcam video is disturbing and was shown to the jury on the first day of the trial (yesterday). It shows police surrounding 17-year-old McDonald as he proceeds down the middle of the street without acknowledging them.
That's when Officer Jason Van Dyke rolls up and proceeds to shoot McDonald (who was carrying a small knife) 16 times, including a shot in the back.
You also see other officials pulling up and going over to talk to the cops casually, while McDonald lies crumpled and unattended in the street.

Before the video emerged, Van Dyke claimed that McDonald (who was high on PCP and had just vandalized some cars -- including squad cars --which was unknown to Van Dkye at the time) was lunging towards him and presenting an imminent threat to himself and other officers.
Other officers at the scene quickly supported Van Dyke's false narrative.
Van Dyke's trial for murder began yesterday in Chicago. He faces two first-degree murder counts.
Other officers at the scene have been charged with lying on their reports in what prosecutors say was an effort to cover up what happened to protect Van Dyke.
