Last night I made mussels Sambuca. Tonight I'm making mussel chowder with saffron and white wine and grilled ciabbatta bread.
My husband bought a 20 lb. bag of mussels. I don't know what to do with all the little fuckers, they're only good for a couple days.

Your family is so lucky to have you to cook for them. Woe is me :(
I'm always hungry because I don't have anyone to do that for me. I'm very hungry right now.

Yuk to the mussels, but hooray for your family cooking.
My wife is the same, and it’s a challenge to try and stay fit.

What don't you like about them?
A lot of people don't like them. I guess they kind of look like vaginas and if you happen to get a bad one it could even make a Maggot puke.
I think they're mostly delicious though and I've only had a bad one at a restaurant once.

Just not really a shellfish guy, never have been.
Fish is fine, but anything with a shell has never appealed to me.

Anyone know the name of those spices that come in a box for stuffing? LC used to swear by that stuff. It was Harts or something like that and you add it to stuffing.

I think it might be this. I also think I could be wrong given I don't actually pay attention to this kind of thing but when I read your post I heard her in my mind. WooWoo. Cue the Twilight Zone music.

Bell's has that classic thanksgiving taste. I accidentally spilled a whole box of it in my spice cabinet and it smelled like I was cooking a Thanksgiving dinner in there.

No one has eaten dinner since November. That's why I'm so goddamn hungry. Sal, what are you cooking?

The heart stopper. Thin sliced NY strip topped with two fried eggs, piece of thick cut bacon and drizzled with chimichurri sauce served with a side of grilled peppers and potatoes and avacado salad. I didn't eat it though, just trying to kill my husband.
