You go your entire life without heart problems then the all gang up on you for no reason. This one was a close call and I had the Gorilla fireman pounding on my chest like a Grape ape. This happened last Sunday and I just got home an hr ago. I'm very lucky for the people in my life that keep an eye on me.

The fact remains that every time he has disappeared he has been hospitalized and that's what I can't stop thinking about. He gave me his phone number a long time ago but what the hell do I say if the Professor answers? Hi there, I'm Elisabeth but you can call me Duchess. I've been spending time with your husband for the past 11 years and I haven't seen him in over a week, is he okay? *face palm* I can't do that. Fucking hell.
She would have no problem with it, I have plenty of female friends that call sometimes they come over have cookouts some are old girlfriends but the thing that she gets is that I love her and she is always first (well most of the time) you could leave a message she probably wouldn't call back but she would tell me. I've played the game of mistrust before and it goes no where. You people are my friends some of my best friends and nothing could ever stop that. The truth meter is pegged on my forehead and life is much better because of it.

Thanks everyone, I'm taking the week off and wondering if I want to retire, scale things back, and turn my hobbies into part time jobs to keep me busy. Thats a big step as I'm only 57 but its doable. I get a lot of stress from work because I get into it to deep but I think I've given enough in that department throughout my life, I've had a job since I was 12 and have never looked back maybe it's time to cut the crap and focus on terrorizing more people.

When I saw that you had posted last night I could have bawled like a little kid. I don't know as I have ever been more relieved to see someone in all my life. I was so afraid you had died. I was very scared of that, I actually looked at the obits for your area. My imagination took off with me. I love you as much as I could love anyone online. (That sounds so weird ) You've been part of my daily life for a very long time and I care about how you are.

Retire and drink more beer, it's an all natural blood thinner and reduces stress.

I agree with Rootilda and Duchess............if you have the opportunity, retirement is a good idea so you can manage your stress levels and your health Mags. You've worked nearly 45 years already.
I don't know about sal's and Biggie's recommendations that you focus on guzzling beer and peeping porn though. Maybe in moderation.
A couple months back, Pappy highly recommended early retirement to me. I see why. Giving myself a few months sabbatical from work has been a great experience.
If I could afford it, I'd retire and do things I enjoy (which wouldn't include terrorizing people!) on my own schedule too.

If you ever feel old and depressed Maggot, I just want you to know that I have urinary incontinence and it gets worse every day. We're all in this together.

Welll glad to see you are back Maggs, getting old sucks, and at "57" you're really far from old!
However, no one actually knows how long they will visit our planet. So if you can financially see your way to be able to retire early, do it.
You have already had two warnings on how short life can turn out to be, don't wait for number three.
I had an extremely stressful job for the last 20 years of my working career that I took an early retirement from.
Early retirement is what I believe has helped me to live a longer life than if I remained in my pressure cooker job!
Be smart, you have 3 choices, (1) retire, (2) retire, (3) retire.

Not for another year or so it looks like. I just got a monetary incentive to stay for the rest of the year.

When we were so worried about you, Roo pointed out your last post, I'm paraphrasing here but you spoke of waking up every hour throughout the night and you thought maybe something bad was going to happen. Do you recall posting that?
I know money is a huge incentive but don't lose sight of the fact that there are things in life that are priceless.
