Well it's started here already yesterday, as our local supermarket is now selling reusable multiple use
"Heavy Plastic" shopping bags .
Because starting August 1st they are no longer supplying disposable single use plastic bags.
We bought 2 large bags, since they offered a buy 1 bag, get 1 free to kick things off.
I think we should have bought a few more, guess we'll buy a few extra next time we go shopping.

Fuck the straws, I don't even use them. All I drink is water, beer and coffee, what the hell do I need a straw for. Ban them don't ban them, I got bigger fish to fry.

Frig the Straws, What about those frickin "Plastic Water Bottles"?
How many water bottles have we put into storage into the Earth?
It has been said, Over 60 million plastic water bottles are used every day in the U.S.
It takes 37,766,072,240 water bottles to go around the earth 190 times.
The US consumes 37,766,072,240 water bottles each day. Frig the straws!!
I saw an ad for a cruise ship where they boasted they no longer provide water in "plastic" bottles,
they now use aluminum cans.

Plastic is horrible. I can't even look at pictures of the devastation it causes sea life. Ugh. Every time I hear someone in town bitchin' I want to say cry, bitch, cry.

At the supermarket today, it was entertaining watching the people at the checkout bitching having to pay 10 cents a bag for the goodies they bought! Why didn't they buy the reusable ones, (like we did) or better yet, bring their own pre-used plastic bags if they didn't want to get charged.

I'm noticing a lot of people are really not receptive to going plastic free. Some of them are downright pissy.

I don't mind going plastic free and for the most part I don't use any plastic except the damn water bottles. They're just so convenient.

It was all the rage at one time. I wonder what is all the rage now that will be bad in the future.

Well we got bit by the "Plastic Bag" monster today!
We were at Kohl's department store, and didn't think to bring "our own Plastic Bags" in there! It seems all stores will be charging for Plastic Bags.
It cost us "10 cents" for a big Plastic Bag.
When you think about it, many people will still pay the 10 cent a bag, instead of bringing their own.
So if they are still using Plastic Bags what happened to helping the planet go green?!
I thought Plastic Bags were going to be banned altogether! Not them make 10 cents a bag.

What the hell will I line my bathroom waste bucket with when they are gone?

I hate when people line their wastebaskets with plastic grocery bags, it looks terrible. I bought my son an expensive
wastebasket from Bed Bath and Beyond for his bathroom and I went over there and saw he had it lined with a plastic Winn Dixe bag. I took that damn bag right out of there and threw it away along with all the other plastic bags he had crammed under the kitchen sink. Yes, I go over to his house and look around like an old busybody.
