Maggot,
You are a smart guy and I have much affection and respect for you. Seriously, what is it going to take for you to admit this guy is not honorable? He has been caught out again, with speaking disparagingly about the Ukraine Ambassador and wanting her out, whilst Lev is there. The guy he doesn't know. Look, I actually liked George W. Bush. I thought he was funny. I still like him, I think he treats veterans with kindness and respect, along with those that protect him. So it's not about left or right, I wouldn't like it if it was either side doing the wrong thing. I like the USA, I like USA people, I don't want to see them hurt.

President Trump had the legal authority and constitutional power to simply remove Yovanovitch from her ambassador post in Ukraine; he's right about that. I kinda doubt that Trump even knew who she was before Giuliani and Parnas started their smear campaign against her though. In their efforts to divert focus away from Russia's 2016 election interference and point it towards Ukraine and the Bidens ahead of 2020, Parnas (during a phone meeting with other donors and Trump) told the President that Yovanovitch was bad-mouthing him. That's when Trump made the "get rid of her", "take her out" comments and the smear campaign against her ramped up, culminating in her removal several months later for "safety/security concerns". Yovanovitch was a diplomat with a good reputation under both Republican and Democratic administrations for over 30 years and knew that the Ukraine election interference conspiracy theory had been deemed bogus by U.S. and international intelligence agencies. So, she was a liability that Giuliani and company needed removed. Mission accomplished...........but, now the circumstances are under a microscope. Under oath in the House, Yovanovitch denied ever bad-mouthing Trump, and Parnas has since admitted that what he told Trump about Yovanovitch wasn't true.

It's all stupid and shady shit, in my opinion. And, it keeps on rolling.
Earlier this week, Trump told Fox and Friends (and all their listeners) that even though everybody thinks Yovanovitch is so great, she refused to hang his picture in the embassy!!! And, he implied that's because she was an "Obama person". https://www.npr.org/2020/01/25/799611011...-to-ukrain Those are just more easily-debunked lies. Yovanovitch was originally appointed by George Bush, and it's been confirmed that the White House was very late in getting the official photo of Trump to embassies (not just in Ukraine). President Trump's photo was, in fact, hung in the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine (and other countries) as soon as it was finally received. Anyway, I don't expect the Senate to remove Trump from office (whether witnesses are called during the impeachment trial or not). And, I won't be surprised if Trump gets re-elected. That doesn't mean that the facts/truth don't matter to me or that I resent Congress for performing their constitutional Executive oversight responsibilities though. I don't care if Trump-devotees claim that somehow makes me "hateful" or "loud" or whatever else -- pfft.

Hello HoTD. You are no dummy, I wish Maggot would listen to you. It's like we have lost him to a cult. I hope he doesn't drink the cool aid.

The thing is, Putin told Trump that it was Ukraine that interfered, not Russia and Trump has run with that belief this entire time. He apparently believes everything Putin tells him because how could you *not* trust an ex-KGB agent?

Maggot, if I was a nun and you were my student, I would smack you with a ruler the way the penguin does in the Blues Brothers.
