It's tiny, itty bitty galley style kitchen but its MINE... all mine. Very nice!! I love what you did with the wrap around cabinets and the light wood.

That's lovely, Ant !...I love home projects, sometimes when I turn to Cowboy and say, "Baby, I've had an idea", I see the urge to flee cross his face.

Matt does the same thing.... but he winds up liking the idea once I show it to him on paper/sketch.
I hate my cooktop. I should have bought a glass top electric range.
I also hate the microwave above the cooktop.
Next year I'm rearanging it all. Going to put the 'fridge where you see the cooktop and getting rid of the double wall oven and cooktop and put a range on that wall.
The only thing we'll have to rebuild is the counter top. That was pretty easy to make anyway. We did it all custom ourselves.
The cabinets on top are hung on a rail system so it's EASY to take them down without damage and put them in any order we want. Same for the bottom... they're on free standing legs. A couple of turns of a screw and we can slide out one and put it someplace else.
The bathroom is on the hit list for next year after taxes.

That a massive improvement.
The one on the left looks like the kitchen I used to have when I was living in a flat.

Very nice, Duch! You'll be making me a homemade chicken pot pie in there one day.
Serving wine, at least ...

Serving wine, at least ... If I ever find you standing in my kitchen I'll be doing a lot more than serving you wine.

Bitch.... 3 or more of my kitchens can fit inside yours!
It's gorgeous. The meals I can make in there!!!!
OP, our house is over 50 years old. They NEVER improved on it from day one. Kitchen and living room and hallway renovations have been a nightmare! They lived like filthy animals in here and we found things buried under layers of flooring that you can't even imagine.
The before photo is the original kitchen. It's small and you can't stand in one area to get a good view of it all and my back is toward the eating area, I'm up against the wall taking that.
I live in a community by the beach and all the houses here are tiny summer cottages. At least that was the intent when the community was built.
I don't know if I want to stay here and expand the house or just keep it as it is and move out of state.

Beautiful kitchen Duchess. My house was also an old beachside cottage style home. I didn't like the house, but loved the location so we gutted it and added on the kitchen and master bedroom.

Duchess you need one of these in your kitchen:

We installed a home automation system in a house here that had one - I was soooo wanting one but my kitchen but I have NO place to put it, nor can I afford that.
edti: click around in there... there's nicer ones!

Stunning!! I love the light cabinets and the arched doorway. Does the upstairs overlook the kitchen?

The upstairs is in the older part of the house, the kitchen is part of the great room which was added on... I'd show how it's all connected but, I can't upload to save my life.
Sally needs some plants, pictures and throw rugs desperately!
Duchess' kitchen is perfect, it's cozy AND functional. Very warm.
