One of my husband's co workers is selling her car and wants to sell it on Craigslist. Anyone here use it? Good idea or bad? Or should she just stick a for sale sign in the window and call it good?
Anyone use Craigslist?

No matter how she does it, a stranger will be coming to her home...Craigslist will reach far more people...She should be fine as long as she uses common sense...Tell her to go for it.

I have tried to sell a few coins on there, sign up is easy and you can sell in your area. The only thing is that you have to re-list every day as it does not re-up the day before's auctions. Put the auction in your favorites to track it better and have easy access to re-doing it every day.

As for whether the chick should list her car or not... sure, but most of her responses will be from scammers/spammers. Tell her to be absolutely sure not to take any sort of M/O, check or other form of currency which can easily be counterfeited. If she takes a check, tell her to make the people wait until it clears her bank until she releases the car. Tell her not to accept any transaction where they are asking to send her more money than she is asking, and then send them back the difference. Also, tell her to be careful not to include any personal info in the ad.

Thing is, she has no computer right now, because her daughte just moved out, and the house computer was hers. She would want someone to set it up on their computer. My husband volunteered me..but I am not sure I want toe responsibility.
Did not know about the relisting part. Seems a hassle. Not like a car would sell the first day or two. I guess I will talk with her today when I go pick up my husband from work.

I have used it to post ads for musicians. Got one of my guitarists from it!
He checks in every day and says he's bought some good shit at damn decent prices. Just follow common sense and you should be ok selling the car there.
