Hey, you never know....this may be an evil plot on his part to convert all the little children to his radical way of thinking..and ----gasp---convert them all to Democrats. Hey, he may even remind them that it is not cool to be racist, and not all Mexicans in this country are illegal.
: : I do not believe I just said that.

Without even going over there to see the idiocy, I know the speech in question.
I gotta admit I have a little problem with some of the wording in it. I've seen it and I've looked at the school primer he's given out to the teachers with instructions on what he wants them have the kids do and talk about.
If a speech like this was given when I was a kid parents would be outraged.
When Al Gore's dopey film An Inconvenient Truth was shown in schools as a lesson parents all over had shit fits. That was just too radical and one sided to be used as a teaching aid.
The problem with what the president wants to say is he is asking kids to "help the president" and not help America in general. I can see where this can be a problem for some parents. It does come off as a little too indoctrinating if you only see that part of the speech and nothing else.
He has since changed the wording to make it less disturbing. But the main part of his speech is about staying in school and achieving the goals they set. Some people are just focusing on one small part of it.
I know my parents would have had a fit over some of the wording I read. But then again, I gave them fits with some of the things I did!

Ah ok, then why did you quote me when you said that? It made no sense.

The herd over there seem to think EVERYTHING is some horrible conspiracy set to dehumanize them and to take their civil liberties away.
Must be scary being that paranoid.

If those people didn't have our Prez & the left to piss & moan about, their lives wouldn't be worth living.

Oh great, idiotgirl is going to reply to all of Duchess' posts with food remarks, thinking she's being clever.
What a lucky day for Mock when she joined.

Hey..I have met dogs with much better breath than some humans I have come into contact with. Makes me wonder what they (the humans) are puttig into their mouth, because it is sure not a toothbrush or mouthwash.
