That anxious feeling after drinking is known in the UK as "the fear" it is very common.

"The Fear" is the sense that you have done yourself some lasting damage after a night of drinking. It's symptoms are:

- A feeling that you are going to die soon (and not just due to other hangover symptoms);
- A sense that people or organizations are out to get you;
- Angst that you may have offended, inappropriately touched or physically attacked someone the night before;
- Foreboding about the next time you meet the people or return to the bar where you degraded yourself the previous night.

The fear is often accompanied by "The Remorse" where you are also genuinely ashamed and sorry for the way you have behaved, as well as simply frightened for the sake of your own wellbeing.
Concerned Friend: "How are you feeling after last night?"
Sufferer: "I am riddled with The Fear. And cat AIDS."

She had two beers for fucks sake, it's not like she got stinking drunk and pissed herself at the local watering hole.

I say have a few more beers and just relax.

Fuck off Sally you stupid cunt.

I have contributed more to this thread than you have as usual.

Get fucked.
Nice contribution, asshole. No one gets "The fear" from having two beers, thats barely enough to get an 8 year old drunk. "The fear" is something that happens to an alcoholic orsomeone who gets shit faced, blacks out or makes an ass of themselves. This is like the time you told Lumpy she had colon cancer because she was up peeing all night.
No......he isn't wrong, and those who voted for your reply are just as clueless as you. You don't have to be drunk to have a reaction that could set off an anxiety attack.

One mouthful of beer is enough to cause "the fear" the next day if your body reacts a certain way.

I experienced it myself when I had one shot of peach brandy at a party, it was all I had to drink all night and I had "the fear" the next day.

So yet again Sally is wrong, as are the dickheads who voted for her lame ass post.

Oh so you had one shot of brandy and degraded yourself at the party and woke up ashamed that you may have acted inappropriately? That must have been one hell of a brandy or you're justa real light weight.

Or do you mean that you had one shot of brandy and woke up the next morning with an anxiety attack?Because that'sdifferent than the condition known as "The Fear".

I think your shadow fucks still lurk around and feel The Fear when they see you drop your pants and get close to your rodents. Maybe they aren't really gone and come out in the form of anxiety after you drink like a sissy the day before.

Has this ever happened to you before Lumpy? Was something coming up this week that had you anxious?

I'm thinking that bit about "a night of drinking" is what you are not quite getting OP. You're defending something you think you didn't say.

If you had said "after having consumed any amount of alcohol" that would not have caused the ridiculous argument you're so happy to chase your tail in.

Sally wins.

OP, what you are describing isn't what Lumpy is feeling. She had a couple of beers at home. Nothing to really get anxious about or have regret. Unless she ran naked through her apartment complex that is. She didn't mention that so I am guessing she stayed in.

What you are talking about is someone that goes out and gets hammered and then has fear or regret about what they might have done or said. Much more severe then having a couple of beers at home and then going to bed.

You can get the fear after one drink.

You are full of shit and you know it. It's obvious from your description of The Fear that it is a term used when someone has anxious feelings after gettingdrunk the night before and acting like an ass. Now you're trying to turn it around and say that it's simply a termfor anxietytriggered by any amount ofalcohol. Yeah I'm sure that's real commonin the UK, just as common as this scenario happening after drinking one swig of beer...

I see the connection between anxiety and anxious, asshole. Thats not the point, the point is that you are lying about the meaning of "The Fear". It only relates to being intoxicated and the mental feeling that results from it the next day. You can ask anyone from the UK (besides for you) and they will tell you that it is a term usedwhen someone feels anxious after a night of getting drunk, this is a fact. And if you got intoxicated fromone shot of peach brandy then you are one weak suck pussy.

Having a reaction to a small amountof alcohol that triggers an anxious feeling is caused by something other than intoxication and therefore wouldn't be considered "The Fear".
