On twitter and facebook, a photo of a Philly cop holding a small child was posted with this comment by the local police union:
Quote:“This child was lost during the violent riots in Philadelphia, wandering around barefoot in an area that was experiencing complete lawlessness. The only thing this Philadelphia police officer cared about in that moment was protecting this child.”
But they neglected to mention that the family's SUV had been surrounded by cops, bashing all the windows in with their batons, while the parents were pulled from the vehicle and the father beaten as well. The hero cop saving the "lost child" had pulled the kid from the back seat while his parents were being attacked.
Video surfaces showing Philadelphia police bashing SUV windows, then beating driver while child was in backseat

Wow. Using a little kid to try and make themselves look good when the reality is they just terrorized its parents. There are very good reasons that law enforcement does not get the respect they want. They don't have anyone to blame but themselves. Fuckery abounds.

What were the parents doing during the riots that made the cops pull them out of the car? They had to have some kind of motivation for that. Just wondering. Did they raise hell, run back to their car, and leave their kid in it when they did it? I'm positive they were not just "driving through"

Not disagreeing with your comment as a whole, but have you watched the news? Cops don't always need a reason for their fuckery.
Was the couple black or white.? As we've all seen, that frequently makes a difference in how people are treated.

Kind of weird how we interpret this story. I have no problem imaging a family trying to drive from point A to point B and being assaulted by the cops because (I assume) they're black and Maggot instantly goes to victim blaming.

When was the the last time you and your family were pulled out of your car and beaten for no good reason? Seems like there is something more to the story, no? To even question a story that doesn't have all the details makes one a racist victim blamer? How do you come up with that?

Maybe you are right! Maybe they kidnapped that child! Maybe they just got done beating someone up. Maybe they were sex trafficking, or terrorists.
Yeah for sure.
They definitely deserved to be drug from their vehicle in front of the child and beat up. That was the right thing to do.
Or maybe wrong place wrong time? Maybe the police feared they were going to drive through the crowd and injure people, so they decided hey needed to injure the occupants so as to not cause more injury in the future.

This story is just another reason people don't trust the media. Half of the story is there not the full story and then the cops are the bad ones for doing their job. I would like to see the full story without bias before blaming them.

If this were justified or they felt it was a righteous stop don't you think the police would release a statement saying so, or at the very least release body cam footage? They have declined to do so.
The Internal Affairs unit of the Philadelphia Police Department is investigating an incident in which a group of officers was caught on video swarming an SUV, smashing its windows and removing its driver and passengers from the car.
Video of the chaotic scene, first reported by The Philadelphia Inquirer, was posted to Instagram early Tuesday. It shows more than a dozen officers surrounding the vehicle along the 5200 block of Chestnut Street as a handful of officers can be seen using their batons to strike the car’s windows.
An officer can be seen yanking the driver out of the car, then hitting the person with a baton. Another adult is also pulled out of the car. Moments later, another officer is seen going into the backseat of the SUV, then carrying a small child towards the sidewalk.
So far, the department has declined to explain what precipitated the incident, why the SUV’s passengers were removed from the car.

They probably want to get ALL the information first instead of going by a video that someone took after the driver did something that's not shown. I cannot see 12 cops all attacking 2 people in a car without a reason. That isn't shown in whatever video is out there. I'm certainly not privy to any information. Time will tell.
Personally I think the police should just step back and let all the rioters do what they want. They will be vilified no matter what they do and if the Politicians won't back them let the idiots destroy the place.

"...and then the cops are the bad ones for doing their job."
I kind of don't think smashing all the vehicle's windows out, especially with a small child inside, is part of the job.
This reminds me of the old guy that approached some cops to return a helmet, got shoved hard enough for him to fall and he fractured his skull and was hospitalized for weeks. You all defended the cops in that one too when the video was right there.

You might get lucky and 911 will get cancelled so the police won't come and beat you up. Or in your case they would send a mental health professional to diffuse the situation. Either way your teddy bear will be safe.

That's totally not what happened, I posted a video of that asshole with the helmet hours before the incident.

I guess at this point I will retract all of my opinions until the full story comes out.
What baffles me tho-is how a person w/ a gun can kill people and get escorted out of a situation like a fragile doll and then others who seemed to do just something like use a counterfit bill get the crap beat out of them.
Why is that?
Is that kind of force justified Maggot? When is it justified?

He posted it when it happened I remember that, the media only showed what they wanted people to see. like when CNN put out that the Covington kid in Washington instigated the disturbance. they were sued and lost. Now the kid is rich. And Harvard university that gets 116 million from china would not let him go to college there because of it.

It depends on the attitude of the person getting questioned by the police. If I get pulled over for something both my hands are on the steering wheel not fishing around in the glove box. I don't give them a reason to think something is up. Some people start waving their arms and start screaming ..........that's not a good thing. If a cop says "drop the knife" and they have a gun pointed at me you're damn straight that knife is going on the ground. I'm not gonna rush at them. That's called suicide by cop.

What exactly are you saying didn't happen? The cops didn't shove him and he didn't fracture his skull and he wasn't hospitalized for weeks?
Or are you stupidly complaining that he was really a super secret undercover agent trying to jam their radios with his violent left super secret spy gear, fakes his fall and wasn't really injured?
I've seen your arguments and you just proved my point. You're defending the indefensible.
