. . . . . . . . . occur after sunset December 21, 2020 for those of you who may be interested!
This event has not occurred for almost 800 years!
Saturn and Jupiter will align forming what looks like a double planet, and has been dubbed the "Christmas Star".
Last time this happened was March 4th, 1226! So it's been a while.
This event can be observed anywhere on earth!
So if interested, get your telescopes ready for a better view!

First, go outside, Look UP!
For Earth viewers, Jupiter and Saturn will appear closer to each other on Dec. 21 than they have been since the Middle Ages. If you gaze into the southwestern horizon at the right time, (Right after Sundown) the two gas giants will look like neighboring points of light. (Christmas Star)
Dec. 21 Weather permitting, it will be observable anywhere on Earth.
You won't need a telescope, be on time. Look toward the low southwestern horizon right after sunset.

It's cloudy here so I will have to look at Waterloo sunset. As long as I gaze at it I am in paradise. I do like the idea of watching it. Damn those clouds. I'm glad you got to see it though.

Thanks, it took almost 800 years from the last time for this phenomenon to happen.
Luckily, you'll only have to wait till 2080 for it to happen again!

You're still young enough for "them" to come up with technologies in the next 20 or so years that will prolong life for many people to live that long!

I finally saw the 2 stars the other night on my way out of work. It was beautiful. Well, it was unique anyway. I knew right away when I saw it.
