I do not see where Trump said to go to the capitol and destroy things. I do see he said to go to the capitol and peacefully protest but now the magic word of the week is "insurection"
The same thing happened in Charlotte:
Trump quickly blamed both sides for the conflict, adding that there were "very fine people" among both the protesters — which included white supremacists and white nationalists — and the counterprotesters.
"I think there is blame on both sides. You look at both sides. I think there is blame on both sides," Trump said today. "You had some very bad people in that group. You also had some very fine people on both sides," he added.

It doesn't matter if you quote what he actually said, it either goes in one ear and out the other or they take it out of context and twist it to fit their agenda. He said to protest peacefully and patriotically which I guess to them is code words for inciting an insurrection.

It's official. trump has now been impeached twice in a bipartisan vote.
It looks like Mitch is going to kick the trial over to the new senate which holds a Democrat majority.

That's going to be a badge of honor in the future. 
The NY Post has a good story about all this ............it has something to do with timelines and how the capitol was warned days ahead by the NYPD and the FBI in Virginia but the Sgt. at arms was told to stand down by his superiors in the house of Representatives, and not allow him to call the NG.
Also that the Capitol was breached a full hr before Trump even finished his speech.
The reason the cops let them in was because they were told the "optics" wouldn't look good. Who told them that?
Yeah the Post is bringing stuff up about the time-line and the "optics" don't look good.
This will be a badge not a stain. Lots of things in the hearings today. Just look them up. Don't rely on the media, hear it for yourself.

I don't make a habit of reading the NYP because I think it's more of a rag rather than a news source, but I did what you asked and couldn't find anything that you referred to even after using different phrases in the search bar, so if you have a link that addresses all of that, please post it up. Peter Meijer, one of the republicans who voted to impeach trump has said he's buying body armor & altering his daily routine because of all the death threats he has been receiving. Other republicans have told their colleagues that they believe trump needs to be impeached but are afraid for the lives and those of their families. These are the very same people who would take a vote to send your kids to war but they are afraid to do their fucking jobs. They need to be outed so we all know who they are.
