This was posted today. Hard to believe it’s been 10 years. Not hard to believe that this article was clearly written and all from Johnny’s family. Poor Lisa’s family having to constantly deal with that scum

Man. 10 years. I remember how consumed with news we all were & how batshit crazy Maytee was. I have to keep reminding myself how fucking vile she was, otherwise I'll start feeling guilty for being a dick to her.

Now I'm thinking about that cigarette butt and how easy it would have been to plant it there. I don't recall feeling that way back then. I had no doubt of Sam's guilt, but the passage of time has made me question that now because of that fricken cigarette butt. 

Those poor kids. Such a godawful, horrifying way to die.

Its late over here in my world, so I apologize for idiotically having a damn typo in my username (could not remember my original account's login). Anyway, I have noticed a lot of articles, etc. recently on this case, which appears in light of the 10 year anniversary.

For anyone who has any form of direct access to law enforcement involved in this case, I recommend suggesting they upload the unknown DNA profiles to GEDMatch.com or other DNA-based ancestry sites. Assuming that recent legislation does not hinder LE's ability to do anymore. Just thinking of how that tactic lead to the identification of the Golden State Killer. I am still haunted by the unknown DNA found inside the duct tape.

I hope I am not the only previous active member who still lurks on this site from time to time to see if there are any updates. In particular, I miss my interactions with Older Than Dirt and NightOwl. Not sure if they are still on here or not.

I have been following this case for 10 years . i cant access my old account but i will say i stay firm on what I said 10 years ago they have the wrong man !!!!

Since photos have been released that ciggerette butt looked like it was not even smoked and just tossed in the corner .
Latest update is tiffany williams is sober and cant handle the pressure she has agreed to cooperate .
To what extent i do not know .

But as i became a mother over the past years I have realized that i too would have acted out the way she did i too would have it for everyone if i seen my child lifeless like that my thoughts go out to both families for this tragic loss .

Prosecutors are paid to dispose of cases. Williams was the easy way out for them, but who knows who's involved, because drug trafficking is one of the primary sources of corruption in this world. Anyone could be involved, so the major question for me is, why was the original investigation compromised? With so much interest in this case, that question may get answered, but it will take time and the pressure will need to be maintained, because the people responsible have power.

After reading through the link Duchess posted and watching some of the interrogation videos, and learning that the judge in Pettaway's trial acquitted him due to insufficient evidence, I'm convinced that the people responsible for the murders are knowledgeable in criminal investigation and live in the area where they occurred. It's extremely implausible that the perpetrators would kill in a clean and efficient manner, and then drop a cig with their own DNA on it. Far more likely that they dropped the cig to implicate people they knew would be easy to frame.

I think this case is going to become hot again. And I hope it does. The way it was handled in the first place and all the subsequent events just were sloppy. Seeing how far forensics has come in the decade (?!) since this happened gives me some hope to. There’s still the unmatched DNA.

I’m new to this case and completely fascinated. I have a few questions if anyone knows the answers (thx!)

1. How did Johnny & Lisa meet?
2. Who was Lisa’s x bf and what did he serve time for?
3. The night of the murders, where was J&L’s puppy? Mrs. Straub said “Johnny, Lisa, and their puppy were the only ones who should have been at the house”  I’ve never heard any mention of the dogs whereabouts before, during, and after the crime. Keep in mind that the dog knew AC .
4. Was Lisa in the same clothes she wore to work that night? I noticed one of the differences in TW’s account is that when she was testifying on the stand she said “they were ok their way back and I was talking to Lisa and he hung up, and I called Johnny right back to tell him I was going to the store and the. I’d meet them at the house”. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. In one statement she is saying that Johnny and Lisa were walking out the door to go pick her up. In another Johnny and Lisa were on their way back to the house, the next statement she says they are coming to pick her up but at almost the exact same time she says that she will meet them at the house after she goes to the store. It’s possible she means she would meet them at ZB’s house after the store but I don’t like the way it sounds. It sounds to me like she spoke to Johnny and Lisa while they were on their way back from Friday’s and she knew exactly when they were pulling into the garage.

I just watched a video about the Delphi murders, which also remain unsolved, and it was mentioned that there is drug cartel activity in small communities in Indiana because it's cheaper to pay off 10 cops than a major urban police dept., and that cops "solve" cartel-related crimes by paying informants to snitch on whoever they want to frame, which is what I think happened in this case.
